No doubt Pee-losi is there to give our military commanders the benefit of her many years of military strategic planning expertise...which seems to consist of Surrender Now.

To that end, Pee-losi has taken another Can't We Just Surrender Today disciple..."Surrender First Murtha" with her.

Pelosi Meets With Troops in Afghanistan
Jan 28, 7:21 AM (ET)

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) - House Speaker Nancy Pelosi ate breakfast with soldiers from California on Sunday and met briefly with top military leaders at the largest U.S. base in Afghanistan, an official said.

Pelosi and her congressional delegation stopped at the U.S. base in Bagram for about an hour, where she thanked soldiers from the 10th Mountain and 82nd Airborne divisions for their service, said Lt. Col. David Accetta, a U.S. military spokesman.

She also spoke briefly with Maj. Gen. Benjamin Freakley, the top U.S. general in Afghanistan.

Pelosi and her delegation were later expected to meet with President Hamid Karzai and U.S. Ambassador Ronald Neumann.

The trip to Afghanistan followed a stopover in Pakistan on Saturday, where Pelosi met with President Gen. Pervez Musharraf to discuss the situation in Afghanistan and cooperation in countering terrorism, officials said.

A statement from Pakistan's Foreign Ministry said the U.S. delegation "lauded Pakistan's role in the war against terrorism," but Musharraf also faces mounting pressure from the U.S. to do more to prevent resurgent Taliban militants from using Pakistan's remote tribal areas as a base for attacks on U.S. and allied troops in Afghanistan.

Pelosi's delegation earlier visited Iraq, where she met with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.....

This is absolutely sexist.

If that were a man would he be portrayed as a witch?

Jwhop, perhaps you've heard of the inquisition, the salem witch trials? No doubt you would have been on the forefront of torturing and interrogating innocent women.

This just reinforces my thoughts that you're nothing but a bigot, a sexist, and a conspiracy theorist.

No BlueRoamer, if Pee-losi were a man, I doubt the gender-changed individual would be dressed as a witch.

I would think only those who proudly wear the "I'm offended" buttons would be offended by that picture..at least the depiction of Pee-losi as a witch. Of course, everything offends leftists. Hell the very thought the United States exists offends them.

I don't seem to recall you being offended by phony pictures of Bush in a Satan suit...complete with horns and tail...ummm, were you Blue? Thought not, just the usual double standards to which leftists are addicted.

More offensive by far is Pee-losi's and "Surrender First Murtha's attempt to hand terrorists a victory in Iraq...when they are getting their as$es kicked on the battlefield every time they attempt to engage US military forces.

Now that's offensive.

I have never personally burned a single witch at the stake BlueRoamer...or even a married witch...Scouts Honor.

You're just another small minded man who's afraid of powerful women.

Studies show, however, that most republicans prefer the woman on top in bed.

Hmmm, so many contradictions....

You totally misunderstand BlueRoamer. I prefer women with a brain. That disqualifies Nancy Pee-losi, Hillary too.

Even if leftists wet themselves over Hillary being the smartest woman ever to trod the earth...it only proves what low standards of intelligence leftists accept.

A truly intelligent woman would never have participated in such a transparent bribe...as Cattlegate turned out to be.

A truly intelligent woman would never have gotten caught up in Travelgate...when all that was necessary to get rid of travel office staff was to terminate their employment.

A truly intelligent woman would never have gotten involved with an Arkansas bouncer, given him a job at the White House..Craig Livingstone...and had him requisition 900 raw files from the FBI...all on prominent Republicans...Filegate.

A truly intelligent would not have had to answer.."I don't remember" 250 times in front of various congressional investigating committees.

A truly intelligent woman would never have lost her billing records for more than 2 years...in the White House...big, big, big place

A truly intelligent woman would never have failed to report all the PAC paid for trips around the world...and had to run to amend her filings for doing the very same thing Tom DeLay was accused of doing...that's
Pee-losi BTW.

A truly intelligent woman would never think terrorists can be either appeased or negotiated with. A truly intelligent woman would know the only reasonable course of action to take with terrorists is to kill them.

Nancy Pee-losi is not a strong woman BlueRoamer. She lacks the requisite brain. She is however smart enough to fool leftists but that's no great feat...considering their low standards.

What amuses me is that you draw such a strong line in your head between democrats and republicans.

Democrats=evil
Republicans=holy

You realize that both parties are still politicians? They compromise their integrity consantly, because they have to. Politicians have to play the game, and for this reason they're usually liars.

Hillary is certainly not an idiot, I'd guess her IQ is probably higher than yours. I'd put fellow scorpio Condoleeza Rice in the same category. They're both incredible politicians and ultimately serve themselves.

Your claims are so far off base I dont' even bother reading after the first few lines, because you simply begin to lose contact with reality.

I doubt your IQ is high enough to assess mine BlueRoamer..or anyone elses

As for democrats and Republicans...well it all depends on specific democrats and specific Republicans as to whom has their heads up their as$es and who doesn't.

Let me know if you ever escape the leftist fairyland world you are stuck in Blue.

I never said Hillary is evil...merely utterly corrupt and unfit to represent anyone. Her record is all the proof needed to establish that.

Oh, and speaking of Hillary; Hillary has just delivered some strategic military planning advice to President Bush...from her vast store of knowledge of military matters.

"Bush should end the war before he leaves office."

How nice but one must wonder where Hillary was when Commander Corruption..aka, Bill Clinton was President.

Looking back on the Clinton administration, one would think Bill and Hill never even bumped into each other in the White House.

Of course, Bill was very busy bumping into Monica, so perhaps that accounts for Hill not giving Bill her expert military opinions and solutions for the attacks against the United States which occurred throughout Commander Corruption's administration...or perhaps Bill was just too busy with Monica to pay any attention to Hillary's advice.

On the other hand, if Hillary's opinions on strategic military planning weren't good enough for Bill to put into practice...then why the hell should Bush listen to a word she has to say on the subject?

Hillary would do well if she never brings up the subjects..."responsibility" and "character" in any of her speeches.

Those 2, Bill and Hill showed through 8 years in the White House neither of them had an ounce of either.

Monday, Jan. 29, 2007 7:36 a.m. EST
Hillary to Bush: End War Before 2008 Election

Hillary Rodham Clinton said Sunday that President Bush has made a mess of Iraq and it is his responsibility to "extricate" the United States from the situation before he leaves office.

It would be "the height of irresponsibility" to pass the war along to the next commander in chief, she said.

"This was his decision to go to war with an ill-conceived plan and an incompetently executed strategy," the Democratic senator from New York said her in initial presidential campaign swing through Iowa.

"We expect him to extricate our country from this before he leaves office" in January 2009, the former first lady said.

The White House condemned Clinton's comments as a partisan attack that undermines U.S. soldiers.

About 130,000 American troops are in Iraq and Bush has announced he was sending 21,500 more as part of his new war strategy.

Clinton held a town hall-style forum attended by about 300 activists, giving a brief speech before taking questions for nearly an hour. Pressed to defend her vote to authorize force in Iraq before the U.S.-led invasion in March 2003, Clinton responded by stepping up her criticism of Bush.

"I am going to level with you, the president has said this is going to be left to his successor," Clinton said. "I think it is the height of irresponsibility and I really resent it."

Bush describes Iraq as the central front in the global fight against terrorism that began after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. "The war on terror will be a problem for the next president. Presidents after me will be confronting ... an enemy that would like to strike the United States again," he recently told USA Today.

One questioner asked Clinton if her track record showed she could stand up to "evil men" around the world.

"The question is, we face a lot of dangers in the world and, in the gentleman's words, we face a lot of evil men and what in my background equips me to deal with evil and bad men," Clinton said. She paused to gaze while the audience interrupted with about 30 seconds of laughter and applause.

Meeting later with reporters, she was pressed repeatedly to explain what she meant. She insisted it was a simple joke.

"I thought I was funny," Clinton said. "You guys keep telling me to lighten up, be funny. I get a little funny and now I'm being psychoanalyzed."

She told reporters that evil men included al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden, who remains at large. "Isn't it about time we get serious about that?" she said.

During the town hall meeting, she tried to make clear that she thinks she would be a chief executive with enough fortitude to confront any danger facing the country.

"I believe that a lot in my background and a lot in my public life shows the character and toughness that is required to be president," Clinton said. "It also shows that I want to get back to bringing the world around to support us again."

The meeting was scheduled for a downtown restaurant but was switched to a pavilion at a nearby park when it became clear that hundreds of people planned to attend.

At virtually all her stops in this early nominating state, she ran into questions about her Iraq vote. She says Bush misled Congress and she now wants a cap on the number of troops, as well as beginning a "phased redeployment" of troops from Iraq.

The White House said it was disappointing that Clinton was responding to Bush's new war strategy "with a partisan attack that sends the wrong message to our troops, our enemies and the Iraqi people who are working to make this plan succeed."

"The height of irresponsibility," spokesman Rob Saliterman said, "would be to cap our troop numbers at an arbitrary figure and to cut off their funding."

Clinton does not support cutting funding for American troops, but does favor that step for Iraqi forces if the Baghdad government fails to meet certain conditions.

Clinton defended the role that Congress has played, saying newly empowered Democrats are beginning to build pressure on Bush to act, but the public needs to be patient.

"We are at the beginning of a process," Clinton said. "It's a frustrating process, our system is sometimes frustrating."

In making the case for her candidacy, Clinton cites her years as first lady, when Bill Clinton was president for two terms, and two winning campaigns for the Senate.

"I believe that my qualification and my life experience equip me to hit the ground running in January of 2009," Clinton said. "I have a unique perspective having been in the White House for eight years and understanding the challenge that comes from trying to govern our great country."

Clinton said he will run hard in Iowa's leadoff caucuses, an early contest her husband skipped when he sought the nomination in 1992. That year, Iowa Sen. Tom Harkin was in the race and Democratic rivals opted not to challenge him in his home state.

"My participation in the Iowa caucuses is the only thing in politics that I will do that Bill has not done," she said.

LOL.. is it me jwhop or is BR's posts becoming as unintelligent as TP's?

Nancy Pelosi's trip to Iraq / Pakistan is meaningless. The woman has no experience in the Military nor does she even understand where to look or what to do if she does see some type of Military action. She is just wasting tax-payers money with her "Hey look at me, I'm a leader now and I can jet set around the world on YOUR (taxpayers) dime". Spending one hour with a General doesn't provide a sense of what is happening. Maybe the old bag and her lamo buddy Murtha should spend a week at one our camps, wearing the same gear as a Soldier and eating the same constipation promoting MRE )Meals Ready to Eat). LMAO... they would crap their pants.

These idiots wasting our money to "evaluate our progress" makes as much sense as them going into a biotech lab and monitoring how to identify specific genetic markers on the genome.

Now I am sure someone from the far left will pipe in "What does DNA have to do with war?"

Ugh..... sometimes I wonder.... LOL...

Sometimes Pid...when someone doesn't have a ready, logical, reasonable argument to support their position, they say something so off the wall, so illogical or unreasonable that it's a real crack-up.

More and more frequently, BlueRoamer falls into this category. TP is a lost cause, having fallen off the turnip truck long ago.

Yeah, Nancy Pee-losi is off on a whirlwind tour to get herself some publicity..."Surrender Now Murtha" is engaged in the same enterprise....on American taxpayer's dollars. The Traitor Kerry already made his tour and is now or was in Davos excoriating the United States in front of a foreign audience. What else is new?

Of course Nancy was also seeking something to use against Bush...anything will do. In fact, Pee-losi talked with a soldier...mind you an enlisted man and Pee-losi asked him what he thought about the prewar intelligence on Iraq.

Now I have great respect for the intelligence of US service personnel. But to ask an enlisted man what he thought about top secret intelligence he had never seen, is trolling for a sound bite to use against Bush...when Pee-losi returns.

If I were Bush, I would consider grounding all flights into the US...leaving Pee-losi and "Surrender Now Murtha" stranded at one of our remote military bases...where they could be treated to 3 square meals a day of the MREs you mentioned

LMAO.... that just goes to show everyone how LITTLE that moron knows about the Military. Even if she asked someone that had that information they would not be able to say more than "Sorry, I cannot answer that question".

Pee-losi is a mess and a half. Hmmm... Still, I can't wait to see the fireworks between Clinton and Obama soon. Hee hee...

LMAO... thank you jwhop ... I should at least have German under my belt. If Bear goes back to Airborne (or depending on how his current MOS opens up) we could be stationed in Italy for 3 years after Germany.

Oh and BR.. the jealousy is duly noted as is your abundance of ignorance. Say I did stay in Germany permanently? Do we not have knowflakes here from other countries? LOL.... Oh wait, we have people here from Canada, India, Australia, England, Germany, Spain, Japan (Eleanore) and even Chenai. Hmmm..... looks like you put that big foot in your big mouth once again.

PS... I'll still be considered a resident of Arizona (and of course a US citizen) will all the rights that go with it.. such as VOTING REPUBLICAN in EVERY FREAKING election even if I live out of country for the next 5 years...

Choke on that BR... LMAO.....

Awww, thanks Johnny. I try hard

It wouldn't have been fair or gentlemanly to choose a moniker associated with her cosmetic surgeon enhanced appearance. I suppose I could have called her the Caped Crusader but Batman..she isn't...even though she's batty as a bedbug. Additionally, the cosmetic surgeons cut off all that tissue which would have trailed behind her like a cape and cascaded down her back if they had left it intact.

But I like Pee-losi better anyway and it fits Nancy. I dislike very much those who attempt to pi$s on America, to defeat America and hand a victory to America's enemies at every opportunity.

I remember the event differently. The drooling leftist morons of San Francisco elected Pee-losi.

And now, Pee-losi is demanding a military jet..the commercial equivalent of a Boeing 757 to ferry Pee-losi back and forth between Washington DC and the left coast of America. $300,000 per trip, crew of 15 or so including 11 or 12 stewards and stewardesses to cater to her every need. The last Speaker made do with a dinky little Gulfstream.

Nancy Pee-losi is now in Syria sucking up to the terrorist supporter and our enemy, Assad.

Difficult to believe democrats don't smell the stench coming off this vile little progressive/socialist nitwit.

I wonder what kind of signal America's enemies get from this brain dead moron when they see she and other brain dead democrats left town without delivering up a clean bill to fund our troops in the field in time of war, when she and her progressive/socialist numbskulls left town without passing a resolution condemning Iran for entering Iraqi waters to capture 15 military personnel of our ally Britain and now, to see her sucking up to a supporter of our enemies Assad of Syria.

If ever clearer signals were sent by brain dead moron democrat's desire to surrender to our enemies, I must have missed it.

"It's interesting because three of our colleagues, who are all Republicans, were in Syria yesterday and I didn't hear the White House speaking out about that," Pelosi said, referring to the Sunday meeting of Reps. Frank Wolf, Joe Pitts and Robert Aderholt with Syrian President Bashar Assad in Damascus.

"I think that it was an excellent idea for them to go," said Pelosi, who is to meet Syrian leaders Wednesday. "And I think it's an excellent idea for us to go, as well."

Everyone who's attempting to undermine our military forces, make them wonder if even the Congress of the United States is behind them, and hand terrorists a victory "thinks" it was an excellent idea for Pee-losi to go talk to the leader of a country which is permitting terrorists to infiltrate into Iraq from Syria. They think it's great Syria permits terrorists to set up terrorist training camps to train terrorists to blow up, maim and kill Iraqi civilians and US military forces.

Perhaps the nutcases on the progressive/socialist far left should ask the troops what they think about democrat morons sucking up to the friend of America's terrorist enemy. Ask them what they think about brain dead leftist moron democrats threats to cut off funding for support of their military mission, cut off funding for their equipment, for their armor, for their weapons...while they're fighting a war the congress authorized.

Ask the troops what they think about the moronic democrat plan to send the fighting units home while leaving the training units in Iraq to continue training Iraqi units. Wow, that's brilliant. Withdraw the front-line fighting forces and leave the training units undefended against attacks by terrorists. Leave the terrorists alone to glow in the victory congress handed them, grow new recruits, train, plot and plan attacks against our own military forces in Iraq...the ones brain dead democrat morons want to leave there. Ask the troops what they think about democrat moron plans to "help them by bringing home the front-line fighting forces", leaving the rest of them totally exposed to attacks by terrorists while they try to train Iraqi forces.

It's time Nancy Pee-losi and the other brain dead morons of the democrat party show everyone their military planning credentials. It sounds like they got theirs out of Cracker Jacks boxes, the same place from which they got their patriotism.

These progressive/socialist democrat idiots are attempting to run plays from the Vietnam playbook. We've seen this all before. Last time, it was the traitor John Kerry sucking up to the enemy at meetings with the Viet Cong and communist leaders of North Vietnam in Paris. Last time, it was Sarbanes, Kennedy and others of their Marxist/socialist ilk who were trying to micromanage the war from the halls of congress, cut off funds and hand communist North Vietnam a military victory.

The only Democrat..capital D, I know...is Joe Lieberman. The rest of the democrats are the same traitorous bunch they've been for the last 30 years. If you'd like, I'll throw Chuck Hagel, John Warner and republicans who went with Pee-losi into that mix too since they're acting like brain dead leftist democrats.

Cheney blasts Democrats over war
Vice president helps raise $500,000 for Sessions' 2008 campaign Tuesday, April 03, 2007

CHARLES J. DEANNews staff writer

Vice President Dick Cheney said in Birmingham on Monday that the Democratic-controlled Congress must learn there is only one commander in chief, and he lives in the White House.

Criticizing congressional resolutions supporting the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq, Cheney said, "The fact is that the United States military answers to one commander in chief in the White House, not 535 commanders in chief on Capitol Hill.

"We expect the House and Senate to meet the needs of our military on time, in full and with no strings attached," Cheney told an audience of about 500 at The Club. Cheney was in Birmingham to address supporters of Sen. Jeff Sessions, who paid $1,000 each to eat lunch and hear the vice president.

Cheney, known for his tough approach in dealing with critics, didn't disappoint the crowd as he lashed out at congressional Democrats.

While he spent a few minutes praising Sessions, R-Ala., and discussing President Bush's tax cuts and low unemployment, most of his remarks were aimed at criticism of the war in Iraq, especially by congressional Democrats, who Cheney said are undercutting U.S. troops fighting the war.

Cheney was critical of a Senate-passed resolution supporting the withdrawal of combat forces from Iraq by next March. He blasted a House-passed emergency war spending bill that mandates a withdrawal of U.S. troops by Sept. 1, a date Cheney called precipitous.

"This action by the House of Representatives is irresponsible and sends exactly the wrong message to our enemy," Cheney said. "When members of the Congress speak not of victory but of time limits, deadlines or other arbitrary measures, they're telling the enemy to simply watch the clock and wait us out. It's time the self-appointed strategists on Capitol Hill understood a very simple concept: You cannot win a war if you tell the enemy when you're going to quit," Cheney said as the audience jumped to its feet applauding.

Cheney vowed Bush would veto any funding bill for the war containing a date for U.S. troop withdrawals. He also said it's clear that the votes are not there to override a presidential veto, and he called on Democrats to stop what he called "political theater" and send Bush a bill he can sign.

Cheney said that if Democrats believe they can delay funding for the war and force Bush to accept restrictions, they are wrong.

"It's nothing less than an attempt to force the president's hand," said Cheney. "They're going to find out they've misread George W. Bush."

Monday's event raised more than half a million dollars for Alabama's junior senator who, so far, is unopposed for a third six-year term. "It exceeded our goal in every way," said Sessions.

More idiocy from the brain dead leftist democrat party led by the nitwit Nancy Pee-losi.

Now, the Global War on Terror is to be stricken from the halls of Congress in a political correctness war against the War itself.

We've already seen the brain dead morons in the leftist press change designations of terrorist and terrorism to insurgents and insurgency.

What's wrong with calling them exactly what they are? Their actions are well defined as terrorist activity in every English dictionary.

Of course, those busily engaged in handing terrorists a victory want to change the language but terrorists are not insurgents. Insurgents attack military objectives. Insurgents do not plot, plan and carry out deliberate attacks against civilians.

Now, there are a lot of things democrats could be working on in Congress that would be a worthwhile expenditure of time and money.

Attempting to change the English language is not one of them. democrats could, for instance, be working on a clean bill to support and fund the US military in a war authorized by Congress...by them. But that's too much to ask from those who are attempting in every way to hand our military and the United States a defeat in Iraq against their terrorist friends.

No more GWOT, House committee decrees

The House Armed Services Committee is banishing the global war on terror from the 2008 defense budget.

This is not because the war has been won, lost or even called off, but because the committee’s Democratic leadership doesn’t like the phrase.

A memo for the committee staff, circulated March 27, says the 2008 bill and its accompanying explanatory report that will set defense policy should be specific about military operations and “avoid using colloquialisms.”

The “global war on terror,” a phrase first used by President Bush shortly after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the U.S., should not be used, according to the memo. Also banned is the phrase the “long war,” which military officials began using last year as a way of acknowledging that military operations against terrorist states and organizations would not be wrapped up in a few years.

Committee staff members are told in the memo to use specific references to specific operations instead of the Bush administration’s catch phrases. The memo, written by Staff Director Erin Conaton, provides examples of acceptable phrases, such as “the war in Iraq,” the “war in Afghanistan, “operations in the Horn of Africa” or “ongoing military operations throughout the world.”

“There was no political intent in doing this,” said a Democratic aide who asked not to be identified. “We were just trying to avoid catch phrases.”

Josh Holly, a spokesman for Rep. Duncan Hunter of California, the committee’s former chairman and now its senior Republican, said Republicans “were not consulted” about the change.

Committee aides, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said dropping or reducing references to the global war on terror could have many purposes, including an effort to be more precise about military operations, but also has a political element involving a disagreement over whether the war in Iraq is part of the effort to combat terrorism or is actually a distraction from fighting terrorists.

House Democratic leaders who have been pushing for an Iraq withdrawal timetable have talked about the need to get combat troops out of Iraq so they can be deployed against terrorists in other parts of the world, while Republicans have said that Iraq is part of the front line in the war on terror. Rep. Ike Skelton, D-Mo., the armed services committee chairman, has been among those who have complained that having the military tied up with Iraq operations has reduced its capacity to respond to more pressing problems, like tracking down al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden.***Note: Right, bin Laden is in Pakistan. I suppose brain dead leftist morons of the democrat party don't know this and also don't know Pakistan is a sovereign nation where we have no authorization to insert US military forces and also don't know it's the NSA, DIA and CIA along with other intelligence services who are on the frontline of tracking bin Laden and other terrorists and terrorist groups. These brain dead democrats are hopeless and intellectually helpless.

“This is a philosophical and political question,” said a Republican aide. “Republicans generally believe that by fighting the war on terror in Iraq, we are preventing terrorists from spreading elsewhere and are keeping them engaged so they are not attacking us at home.”

However, U.S. intelligence officials have been telling Congress that most of the violence in Iraq is the result of sectarian strife and not directly linked to terrorists, although some foreign insurgents with ties to terrorist groups have been helping to fuel the fighting.

“You have to wonder if this means that we have to rename the GWOT,” said a Republican aide, referring to the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medals established in 2003 for service members involved, directly and indirectly, in military operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere in the world.

“If you are a reader of the Harry Potter books, you might describe this as the war that must not be named,” said another Republican aide. That is a reference to the fact that the villain in the Harry Potter series, Lord Voldemort, is often referred to as “he who must not be named” because of fears of his dark wizardry.
