U.N. Considering Health Inspections

UNITED NATIONS -- Under pressure from employees and the diplomatic corps, U.N. management may for the first time in more than 20 years allow the NYC Board of Health to inspect the five restaurants inside the world body's headquarters. The restaurants serve more than 5,000 people daily.
All are operated by Aramark Corp.
A decision by the U.N.'s building management is expected Monday.
NewsMax and the New York Post have observed deteriorating conditions in the UN's main kitchen as well as mice/rats inside the auxiliary kitchen serving the posh Delegates Dining Room.
Just last week, that same Delegates Dining Room played host to a high-powered dinner honoring Virgin Corp.'s high-profile founder/CEO Richard Branson.
Rats and mice were seen running inside the kitchen only hours before Branson arrived for their Thursday night gala.
U.N. diplomats are so upset with the recent revelations, several veteran ambassadors tell Newsmax they are threatening their own snap inspections if the UN does not move on the problem.
The U.N.'s problems have taken on a new urgency in light of the recent news regarding rat infestations at several KFC restaurants in Manhattan.
