Monday, March 12, 2007 3:39 p.m. EDT Latest Ann Coulter Book Due in October While conservative pundit Ann Coulter has been dropped by several newspapers for using an anti-gay epithet regarding Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards, she remains in good standing with her book publisher. The Crown Publishing Group, a division of Random House Inc., plans an October release for her next book, "If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd Be Republicans." "We have a book with her on our fall list and have no plans on altering our current publication plans," Crown publisher and senior vice president Steve Ross told The Associated Press in a recent e-mail. "Every book we have published with Ann has been a major best seller and we expect the same with the upcoming title." Coulter's books include "Treason,""Slander" and "Godless," in which she harshly criticized a group of New Jersey widows whose husbands perished in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. "I've never seen people enjoying their husbands' deaths so much," she wrote. On March 2, speaking to GOP activists attending the annual Conservative Political Action Conference, Coulter said, "I was going to have a few comments on the other Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards, but it turns out you have to go into rehab if you use the word 'faggot,' so I - so kind of an impasse, can't really talk about Edwards." Coulter has declined to apologize, telling The New York Times, "C'mon, it was a joke. I would never insult gays by suggesting that they are like John Edwards. That would be mean." http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2007/3/12/154201.shtml?s=ic IP: Logged |

Which US "atrocities" are you talking about carlfloydfan? Are you talking about the bombing of the WTC in 1993 by terrorists which killed American civilians? Or perhaps the bombing of 2 US embassies which killed American diplomats along with lots of innocent Africans...again, by terrorists. Or, perhaps you're talking about the 9/11 attacks on the WTC which killed almost 3000 American civilians..again, by terrorists. If that's what you're talking about carlfloydfan, then I'm with you. Otherwise you might wish to bring me up to date.

Now TINK, I wouldn't call it affection. It's her hyperbole which has irritant value. The radical left has Michael Moore, MoveOn, Daily Kos, Democrat Underground, Howard Dean, Ted Kennedy, Sean Penn, George Clooney, George Soros, John Heinz Kerry, Algore, Al Franken, Nancy Pelosi, John Conyers and an army of other bomb throwing boobs...and you would deny me just one main stream, middle of the road pundit to offset all that? I thought about calling it an obssession but decided I'd give you the benefit of the doubt. Either way you're more than welcome to a mainstream, middle of the road pundit. 'Course first you'll need to find one.IP: Logged |

Ditto to what Tink said. Spreading more hate and division may sell some books, which is really all the publishers care about..not the message..but it does not serve any useful purpose. IP: Logged |
