So it is true. Somewhere in the world there really is a soul mate for everyone ... even Ann Coulter. Fantastic. IP: Logged |

LOL.What made you think of that? This guy is practically the antithesis of Ann Coulter. Anyway, you gotta be ready for your soul mate. If Ann Coulter met her soul mate, she would probably bite his head off without giving him half a chance. love to you, TINK, HSC

Because they both appear hell bent on cultivating insensitive and ignorant media personas. The misfortunate target of their attacks, be it widows or soldiers, seems secondary at best.Yes, I suspect she would. I imagine quite a few do. same to you, Steve tink IP: Logged |

Bill Hicks died in '94. He was a comedian, and, in the clip you heard, he was being partially sarcastic and ironic. This is just one of the places he brought attention to. His methods were shocking, for good reason, I believe. Soldiers may be a secondary target, but if those soldiers were more inclined to question authority, before rushing to blow civilians' limbs off, the people in power would not be "the people in power". You gotta fight the battles on all fields.Just my thoughts love to you, S IP: Logged |

Did he? I don't think we run in the same circles. This is the second time I've heard him or of him. The first was a similiar rant, the subject of which escapes me. The whole don't-question-authority thing is a pea under many a bed, isn't it? It's an old fashioned and unpopular opinion but I still hold that the life of a soldier can be an honorable one. Of course, I acknowledge that path of a saint, mystic, poet or such is considerably higher. Still, the self-sacrifice, discipline, and, yes, even the ability to quiet your own doubts and trust those higher than yourself are skills that might very well be put to good use when the same soul experiences a more elevated calling ... such as a saint or mystic or poet. At any rate ... I suppose what I was trying to say was, his views seemed a bit simpilistic and extreme. Ms Coulter strikes me the same. Our society is overrun with the simpilistic and extreme. "Shocking" isn't really so shocking anymore, is it? It's tiresome. nice sharing thoughts with you IP: Logged | |
