There is a film about him starring David Wenham.

Father Damien was voted top in the poll of Greatest Belgians a couple of years ago. Winston Churchill won here in the U.K. I'm not taking the .... btw. I have family connections to Belgium.

Blessed Damien is patron of HIV/AIDs (i.e on the process to being made a saint), just in case you didn't know.
