Its great news but please don't forget the Green ============ India’s Tata Motors on Thursday unveiled its much anticipated $2,500 car, an ultracheap price tag that suddenly brings car ownership into the reach of tens of millions of people across the world. While the price has created a buzz, critics say the vehicle, called the Tata Nano, will lead to possibly millions more cars hitting already clogged Indian roads, adding to mounting air and noise pollution problems. Others have said Tata will have to sacrifice quality and safety standards to meet the target price. http://www.bostonherald.com/business/automotive/view.bg?articleid=1065704

I beg to differ with this concern. 4 wheels are way too safer than 2 wheels. India should seriously consider cutting down the 2 wheeler production, and promote cars. Ofcourse with strict emission standards. As for Nano, it is Euro III compliant (if I am right) and they can upgrade it to Euro IV as well. IP: Logged |

Yes, yes! Thank you Mannu I was desperately trying to remember what this thing was called, LOL! I saw this on the news a few weeks ago and apparently no one else had a clue what I was speaking of. I searched the web to no avail as I didn't even have a name to go on. *sigh It was on FOX News... Every teenager in America is delighted in hopes that it will force other manufacturers to design cheaper models as well.. Looks like perhaps a throw away car just now BUT, who knows what may come of it. NOTE: This car is totally stripped and has no heater/air conditioning, stereo, etc. Not so great for India's heat... but? Heee...heee.. ONE windsheild wiper covers the entire windsheild quite well yet this thing has FOUR doors and says it seats five people ------------------ Sendin' love your way, "your friend in spirit"
