Sally Kern Anti-Gay Rant: Video Online, No Apologies By Jennifer Cox Mar 10, 2008 A state representative from Oklahoma won't be going on the Showtime series the "L Word" anytime soon. She might need a little bit of an intervention though. The Republican lawmaker goes on what many are describing as an anti-gay rant where she slams homosexuality from about every angle possible. Now the audio is online. Most people will believe that the speech is pretty sad stuff but the representative offers no apologies, at least yet she has not served up any kind of "I'm sorry" confession. She talks about the homosexual agenda, the family values movement and appears to offer up some very red meat for those that oppose homosexuals. She says in no uncertain terms that she believes that the homosexual agenda is destroying the nation. She has issued a statement that says she is against "hate speech" and the heat is likely being turned up on high on the representative. Many are saying she went off the deep end but it is likely she is just saying what she believes in. The recording online is making the rounds and it will likely make national news at some point and then it will be interesting to see how she reacts. "I'm not gay bashing," Kern said in the recording, "but according to God's word, that is not the right kind of lifestyle. It has deadly consequences. The homosexual agenda is destroying our country. Studies show that no society that has totally embraced homosexuality has lasted more than a few decades." Sally Kern in photo
I can not even express how i feel about this. No she isn't gay bashing at all. She is just stating facts. ------------------ "You can't deny laughter; when it comes, it plops down in your favorite chair and stays as long as it wants." Stephen King IP: Logged |

It talks about the third eye. US constitution was not based on christian priciples. Theres a thread here that talks about it. Chrurches in America are competing with each other for Tithes Suicide bombers are promised heaven in next life..... I can go on and on , but this genious has already spoken brilliantly: What is the root of all evil? http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum16/HTML/003877.html

An engineering professor is treating her husband, a loan officer, to dinner for finally giving in to her pleas to shave off the scraggly beard he grew on vacation. His favorite restaurant is a casual place where they both feel comfortable in slacks and cotton/polyester-blend golf shirts. But, as always, she wears the gold and pearl pendant he gave her the day her divorce decree was final. They're laughing over their menus because they know he always ends up diving into a giant plate of ribs but she won't be talked into anything more fattening than shrimp.Quiz: How many biblical prohibitions are they violating? Well, wives are supposed to be 'submissive' to their husbands (I Peter 3:1). And all women are forbidden to teach men (I Timothy 2:12), wear gold or pearls (I Timothy 2:9) or dress in clothing that 'pertains to a man' (Deuteronomy 22:5). Shellfish and pork are definitely out (Leviticus 11:7, 10) as are usury (Deuteronomy 23:19), shaving (Leviticus 19:27) and clothes of more than one fabric (Leviticus 19:19). And since the Bible rarely recognizes divorce, they're committing adultery, which carries the rather harsh penalty of death by stoning (Deuteronomy 22:22). So why are they having such a good time? Probably because they wouldn't think of worrying about rules that seem absurd, anachronistic or - at best - unrealistic. Yet this same modern-day couple could easily be among the millions of Americans who never hesitate to lean on the Bible to justify their own anti-gay attitudes. ~Deb Price, And Say Hi To Joyce the problem with narrow minded people who take the bible as reference is that they discredit the message that the bible tries to communicate. they antagonise non-practicing catolics who dont recognize themselves in this hatred and would have joined in but cant possibly do it if it means become a bigot too.
