Why did former Russia collapse?

Is China following the path because of its Godlessness (referring to Tibet)? Are they right about the viewpoint that "religious heads are a bane to a state or country?" Why does government approve Tai chi but not tibetan buddhist meditation?

Will America ever be an Godless(atheist) nation in the future?

What is Godness anyways ? Damn it. I could have said it in the beginning?

Reading that was like being able to glimpse through someone's mind as they daydreamed at work.

Plenty of countries have a sharp division between religion and state. France is an example, and has been since the revolution. That's over 200 years, and aside from the unpleasantness with Hitler, things have been going strong. Does this make it an atheist nation? Well it is, technically, but there are still religious people living there unpestered.

Why did the Soviet Union collapse? Its dire economic situation? Ethnic unrest in its overreached regions?

I'm not convinced the situation in Tibet is enough to topple the current Chinese government. It's economy is boomingso that doesn't compare.

The logical link with the U.S.A passes me by apart from the current gloomy economic outlook. Are there any ethnic regions in danger of revolting against a repressive regime? I don't know - Hawaii, maybe?

Yeah , there are some indian states who are demanding freedom after being ignored by the crazy us government over hundreds of years.

And I am not saying china will be brought down or anything. I am saying they want to see the world only in yellow lens Not maroon (referring to the color of Tibetan monks). Will the people there experience happiness? I doubt it. Any country that does not respect diversity , its people are like people with only one eye. Boring with a capital B.

A nation with brilliant and hard working people seldom fails. I think communism that is no acceptance of other religion , science, languages , computer langauges, etc contributed to its failure.

The happiness that is repressed in china will explode like russia some day.
Are they in danger? Possibly. Perhaps the single thread of Nationalism runs thru them (just like in America) so perhaps the danger is not so apparent.

Anyhow . Work Finito. No more day dream

Well I see the point that if a regime makes people miserable they won't fight too hard to save it. Unless forced.
