This guy must be a socialist, an enemy of freedom, by refusing to accept the debate. Its mostly going to be political, economy or social issues.

Debate? For what? Every thing should be fair , equal. No oppositions allowed. No rebels allowed.

I pscyhoanalysed this guy the last debate on ABC and his uncomfortableness was so apparent every time the questions got close to him.

Perhaps he is born in the wrong country. He should have been born in Russia , a socialist country and ran for presidency there. My memory seems to come back with blank hits when I try to recall the last time that country had a debate - LOL

BERLIN (Reuters) - Russia's presidential election campaign is taking place without a real political debate or viable opposition because of President Vladimir Putin's crackdown on the media and critics, Amnesty International said.

Putin's preferred successor, First Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, is expected to win easily in Sunday's election -- a vote that opposition groups say will be unfair.

"Television broadcasts naturally give a very one-sided view as they are controlled by the state," Friederike Behr, Russia researcher for the London-based rights group, told a news conference in Berlin.

She said only citizens of Russia's biggest cities, such as Moscow and St Petersburg, had access to opposition newspapers and the views of Putin's political opponents.

"There is no real opposition ahead of the election. There is no real electoral campaign battle," she added.

In a report published on Tuesday, Amnesty said new laws restricting non-government organizations (NGOs), police breaking up anti-Kremlin demonstrations, and complaints of harassment from critics of the Kremlin were all part of a systematic destruction of civil liberties in Russia.

"The space for critical views, and for independent media and independent organizations to operate, is shrinking," the report said.

Europe's main election watchdog, from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), has pulled out of monitoring the vote, citing the restrictions being imposed on its work. The Council of Europe's chief observer has said he fears the election will not be sufficiently free or fair. Continued...

A socialist idea to create equal opportunity is not unacceptable. In fact it must be welcomed. Distribute wealth equally - Oh oh bad idea.

I give more thumbs up to Hillary on that. Perhaps she is struggling with words when she uses words as "shared" prosperity etc.
With this knowledge perhaps she might be able to convince the Americans why Universal health care is need of the hour in America.

With the economy this bad, how will she manage to open the nearly empty government treasure, collect some from broke people and give it back to the people?

And American socialists are not dangerous like the chinese or russians. They have a controlled constitution. Both Obama and Hillary said no tax increase for families making upto 240-250 k a year. Thats good news for middle class America. The life line of American economics.

So americans with socialist phobia drop your worries. All three candidates are similar on their economy policies.

I find Obama using the word "fair" appalling.

Keep your meter on to count usage of such socialist word every time a democrat speaks

What is it Mannu that you don't understand about the difference between. Equal opportunity v Equal outcomes.

Equal opportunity is most certainly not a Socialist concept.

Equal Opportunity...a Capitalist concept.
Equal Outcomes...a Socialist concept.

So far I was under the illusion that you knew capitalism.

Every time the government announces universal programs or tax hike the neo cons screams "stealing my money".

How can they ever stand for equal opportunity?

Could you really be that dense Mannu? Could anyone be that dense?

No Capitalist could possibly be that dense.

Stealing the fruits of one person's productive labor to benefit...be spent on another is not Capitalism. The purpose of taxation is to run the legitimate functions of government.

Enriching people who have not earned it is not a legitimate purpose of government taxation. Equalizing incomes is not a legitimate function of government. That's an attempt to produce "equal outcomes".

Oh man now I know that you are accounting challenged as well. I thought every American kid knows that from the moment they sell lemonades in front of their homes during the summer.

Perhaps they are meant to run mom and pop shops forever in their lives - LOL

A myth used to say you should know almost everything when you invest in stocks.

This is now debunked by the fact that ignorants do much better in stock investing.

Ignorance is indeed bliss LOL
