Every holy scripture must be made a target practice.

It will drive down the point in their rat heads that those books are not God's words. They were written by men for men.

Too much indulgence on reading holy book is bad for the soul. Drop it and grow to the beyond. Too much abuse has happened over thousands of years. Its time to stop all that BS.

Too bad the guy was sent home

-------------
BAGHDAD: An American soldier has been sent home from Iraq after a copy of the Quran was found pocked with bullet holes at a shooting range near Baghdad, the US military said on Sunday.

Such an act of desecration of the Muslim holy book could inflame anger against the US military presence in Iraq.

The US military said Iraqi police found the Quran on May 11 at a firing range in Radwaniyah village near Baghdad.

Bill Buckner, a military spokesman, said the Quran was marked with bullet holes and also had graffiti scrawled inside the cover.

It was not immediately clear if the Quran had been used for target practice.

"Coalition commanders have briefed local leaders on the results of the investigation and expressed their deep regret," Buckner said in a statement. "They have also undertaken disciplinary action against the soldier who was involved and he has been removed from Iraq."

Some of the holy books are meant to be sung not read

Example: Koran.

Any one hear about "Khidr"?
Any sufists here?

Well then we'll have get rid of all such dogmatic scripture.

Why pick on the Quran? There is enough misunderstanding and insensitivity in these matters as it is. The US soldier should have been the last person to do such a thing.

What the world needs is more understanding, and this can never be achieved in such a disrespectful manner.

Love, peace and respect.

Thank God Mannu isn't part of the Iraqi good will delegation... And I hope a person with such thought process never does get involves with global issues.

Anyway, to the topic at hand, looks like the army took the right action upon its corrective actions.

The 5th comes before 4th. And the 4th had always existed even before the 5th.

Go figure.

Mr. Mannu:

Zip you up? Why should I do that? When you obviously are damaging your own credibility as someone who one can actually read upon for objective views. Most of your views are so strewn off practicality and cohesion that you wouldn't be able to find one able good point in your posts even if you tried. I can surely tell you have no credible facts to present your points with; You usually don't. All you have are personal strewn claptrap of envisioned dogma that's fit for tikes.

Come back when you have something more... reasonable to say.
