While Ted Kennedy is one of my least favorite politicians, I wouldn't wish this for anyone. He has my best wishes for a speedy recovery and restoration to full health. Sen. Edward Kennedy has malignant brain tumor By GLEN JOHNSON, Associated Press Writer 19 minutes ago BOSTON - A cancerous brain tumor caused the seizure Sen. Edward M. Kennedy suffered over the weekend, doctors said Tuesday in a grim diagnosis for one of American politics' most enduring figures. "He remains in good spirits and full of energy," the doctors for the 76-year-old Massachusetts Democrat said in a statement. They said tests conducted after the seizure showed a tumor in Kennedy's left parietal lobe. Preliminary results from a biopsy of the brain identified the cause of the seizure as a malignant glioma, they said. His treatment will be decided after more tests but the usual course includes combinations of radiation and chemotherapy..... http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080520/ap_on_go_co/kennedy IP: Logged |

Politics aside, I have always had great admiration for the Kenneday family`s strength to overcome so many devastating loses. Wishs for a complete recovery. juni ------------------ ~ What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world is immortal"~ - George Eliot IP: Logged |

This is such devastating news for his family and those that he serves (like other's I do not share his politics but I would never wish such a tragedy on anyone).I pray the radiation and chemo heals him quickly. IP: Logged |

My thoughts exactly. Someone sent me an appropriate sentiment which applies here: Cancer Sucks ------------------ The truth is ... everything counts. Everything. Everything we do and everything we say. Everything helps or hurts; everything adds to or takes away from someone else. ~ Countee Cullen We are weaving character every day, and the way to weave the best character is to be kind and to be useful. Think right, act right; it is what we think and do that makes us who we are. ~ Elbert Hubbard The simple act of caring is heroic. ~ Edward Albert IP: Logged |
