So, this clown who wants to be President of the most powerful nation on earth has shown his disrespect for ordinary American citizens by making the elitist statement they cling to their guns and their religion when times are hard.

He consorts with people who have and are attempting to overthrow the laws and Constitution of the United States.

His spiritual mentor is a hate spewing America hating, white hating racist and antisemite.

His political mentors are all communists and socialists.

And, Barack Obama shows the ultimate disrespect for the United States by refusing to place his hand over his heart during the playing of the National Anthem.

This guy isn't fit to even be an American citizen and he isn't qualified to be dog catcher in Podunk.

Notice, everyone else is showing proper respect during the playing of the National Anthem. There's Hillary Clinton, Bill Richardson and Tom Harkin's wife Ruth Harkin and they're all showing the proper respect during the playing of the National Anthem...all but Barack Obama.

Respect
Senator Barack Obama, Governor Bill Richardson, Senator Hillary Clinton and Ruth Harkin stand during the national anthem.

as for the Reverend Wright thing

Dr Martin Luther King Jr's spoke out against the Vietnam War

and even said
"Their questions hit home, and I knew that I could never again raise my voice against the violence of the oppressed in the ghettos without having first spoken clearly to the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today: my own government. "

Jeremiah Wright is no Dr. King, but he did speak out against foreign policy and the violence that US govt is all about.
In that way, he was similar to Dr. King.

Of course, Jeremiah Wright was no match for him.

The prophetic anger of MLK
After 1965, the civil rights leader grew angrier over America’s unwillingness to change.
By Michael Eric Dyson
April 4, 2008

ON THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY of Martin Luther King Jr.’s death, few truths ring louder than this: Barack Obama and Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. express in part the fallen leader’s split mind on race, a division marked by chronology and color.

Before 1965, King was upbeat and bright, his belief in white America’s ability to change by moral suasion resilient and durable. That is the leader we have come to know during annual King commemorations. After 1965, King was darker and angrier; he grew more skeptical about the willingness of America to change without great social coercion.

King’s skepticism and anger were often muted when he spoke to white America, but they routinely resonated in black sanctuaries and meeting halls across the land. Nothing highlights that split -- or white America’s ignorance of it and the prophetic black church King inspired -- more than recalling King’s post-1965 odyssey, as he grappled bravely with poverty, war and entrenched racism. That is the King who emerges as we recall the meaning of his death. After the grand victories of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the 1965 Voting Rights Act, King turned his attention to poverty, economic injustice and class inequality. King argued that those "legislative and judicial victories did very little to improve" Northern ghettos or to "penetrate the lower depths of Negro deprivation." In a frank assessment of the civil rights movement, King said the changes that came about from 1955 to 1965 "were at best surface changes" that were "limited mainly to the Negro middle class." In seeking to end black poverty, King told his staff in 1966 that blacks "are now making demands that will cost the nation something. ... You’re really tampering and getting on dangerous ground because you are messing with folk then."

King’s conclusion? "There must be a better distribution of wealth, and maybe America must move toward a democratic socialism." He didn’t say this in the mainstream but to his black colleagues.

Similarly, although King spoke famously against the Vietnam War before a largely white audience at Riverside Church in New York in 1967, exactly a year before he died, he reserved some of his strongest antiwar language for his sermons before black congregations. In his own pulpit at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, two months before his death, King raged against America’s "bitter, colossal contest for supremacy." He argued that God "didn’t call America to do what she’s doing in the world today, " preaching that "we are criminals in that war" and that we "have committed more war crimes almost than any nation in the world." King insisted that God "has a way of saying, as the God of the Old Testament used to say to the Hebrews, ’Don’t play with me, Israel. Don’t play with me, Babylon. Be still and know that I’m God. And if you don’t stop your reckless course, I’ll rise up and break the backbone of your power.’ "

Perhaps nothing might surprise -- or shock -- white Americans more than to discover that King said in 1967: "I am sorry to have to say that the vast majority of white Americans are racist, either consciously or unconsciously." In a sermon to his congregation in 1968, King openly questioned whether blacks should celebrate the nation’s 1976 bicentennial. "You know why?" King asked. "Because it [the Declaration of Independence] has never had any real meaning in terms of implementation in our lives."

In the same year, King bitterly suggested that black folk couldn’t trust America, comparing blacks to the Japanese who had been interred in concentration camps during World War II. "And you know what, a nation that put as many Japanese in a concentration camp as they did in the ’40s ... will put black people in a concentration camp. And I’m not interested in being in any concentration camp. I been on the reservation too long now." Earlier, King had written that America "was born in genocide when it embraced the doctrine that the original American, the Indian, was an inferior race."

Such quotes may lead some to wrongly see King as anti-white and anti-American, a minister who allowed politics to trump religion in his pulpit, just as some see Wright now. Or they might say that King 40 years ago had better reason for bitterness than Wright in the enlightened 21st century. But that would put a fine point on arguable gains, and it would reveal a deep unfamiliarity with the history of the black Christian church.

The black prophetic church was born because of the racist politics of the white church. Only when the white church rejected its own theology of love and embraced white supremacy did black folk leave to praise God in their own sanctuaries, on their own terms. Insurgent slave ministers such as Gabriel Prosser, Denmark Vesey and Nat Turner hatched revolts against slave masters. Harriet Tubman was inspired by black religious belief to lead hundreds of black souls out of slavery. For many blacks, religion and social rebellion went hand in hand. They still do.

For most of our history, the black pulpit has been the freest place for black people. It is in the black church that blacks gathered to enhance social networks, gain education, wage social struggle -- and express the grief and glory of black existence. The preacher was one of the few black figures not captive to white interests or bound by white money. Because black folk paid his salary, he was free to speak his mind and that of his congregation. The preacher often said things that most black folk believed but were afraid to say. He used his eloquence and erudition to defend the vulnerable and assail the powerful.

King extended that prophetic tradition, which includes vigorous self-criticism as well -- especially sharp words against the otherworldliness that grips some churches. In 1967, King said that too many black churches were "so absorbed in a future good ’over yonder’ that they condition their members to adjust to the present evils ’over here.’ " Two months before his death, King chided black preachers for standing "in the midst of the poverty of our own members" and mouthing "pious irrelevancies and sanctimonious trivialities." King struck fiercely at the ugly, self-serving practices of some black ministers when he claimed that they were "more concerned about the size of the wheelbase on our automobiles, and the amount of money we get in our anniversaries, than ... about the problems of the people who made it possible for us to get these things."

Obama has seized on the early King to remind Americans about what we can achieve when we allow our imaginations to soar high as we dream big. Wright has taken after the later King, who uttered prophetic truths that are easily caricatured when snatched from their religious and racial context. What united King in his early and later periods is the incurable love that fueled his hopefulness and rage. As King’s example proves, as we dream, we must remember the poor and vulnerable who live a nightmare. And as we strike out in prophetic anger against injustice, love must cushion even our hardest blows.

Michael Eric Dyson is a professor of sociology at Georgetown University and the author of 16 books, including the just-published "April 4, 1968: Martin Luther King Jr.’s Death and How It Changed America." http://www.latimes.com/news/printedition/opinion/la-oe-dyson4apr04,1,7472620.story

Jeremiah Wright is viewed as being racist and Anti-American???? Man.....Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said similar things. Does that make him racist and Anti-American????

I don't think so.

I want to show that many people know Dr. King for his leading the civil rights movement but Dr King was known for criticizing American's foreign policy as well as calling out USA on its racism which Rev Wright did. I also said straight up that Rev Wright is no Dr. King because he is not as great and inspirational as him. So it would seem that if people knew that similar things were known about Dr King, then people would understand what Rev Wright was saying and that he's not necessarily Anti-American nor racist. If he is, then that would make Dr. King Anti-American and racist.

A lot of people get angry when people say things that they don't want to hear because the truth can hurt. Sometimes, people are afraid to say things. Therefore, they might keep things to themselves and say it in places where they feel safe like in a church.

We're not talking about MLK. We're talking about the America hating, white hating, venom spewing, antisemitic Wright.

We're also talking about O'Bombers spiritual guru and the new spiritual guru at Trinity Church which spews Black Liberation Theology instead of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The same Black Liberation Theology which says:

"Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community. . . . Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love." in African American Religious Thought".

How any sane person could sit in a church spewing this kind of hate for 20 years is beyond me. Any parent exposing their children to this kind of hateful raving and ranting should be prosecuted, not voted for.

Not to be forgotten, we're also talking about a bunch of Marxists including the Catholic priest who recently spoke at Trinity and spewed his hate all over the congregation...who seemed to like it a lot.

I'd rather have Daffy Duck as President of the United States than a Marxist appeaser like Barack Obama and the America hating Marxists he's surrounded himself with.

Does anyone think you actually have a brain Blue Roamer? I know I don't believe you could make the needles move on an EEG.

BTW, reporting facts is not racist. The racists reside in the Black Liberation Theology movement of which Wright, Cone and the new pastor at Trinity Church are front and center members.

To be fair,

I don't believe that jwhop is a racist.

I really haven't seen anything that suggests that he's a racist....just very conservative, and that's his right to be just like we have our right to be liberals. I was very liberal myself, and I have changed from very liberal to liberal. I am moderate in some things like the military and crime.

To me it does not matter if your hands are at your heart or at your crotch while the national anthem is being sung.

But the point raised here is valid.
Is Obama guilty by association?

Ok so he dropped his church - but after 20 years? Is that good judgement?

Politics is indeed for misfits. When they are not successful anywhere else they chose that resort. That is my opinion of politics in India when I left that country 10 years ago. But here Obama and his team is proving me right.

Yes, I understand. Anyone who disagrees with a leftist is either a racist, a homophobe or a fascist.

One cannot possibly be against O'Bomber because he:

consorts with 60's communist radicals who blew up the Pentagon, blew up police headquarters, blew up the US Capitol Building, robbed Brinks trucks and killed the guards, collaborated with the Soviet Union in antiwar groups which were funded, directed and controlled from Moscow and attempted to overthrow the government of the United States.

No, no, no, one cannot be against O'Bomber for that. After all, those were just legitimate forms of communist protest against the fascist capitalist system. As Bill Ayers said, "I'm only sorry we didn't do more".

One cannot be against O'Bomber because he totally lacks any qualifying experience to be President of the United States.

No, no, no, that wouldn't explain anything at all so it must be racism.

One cannot be against O'Bomber because O'Bomber's been waving the white flag of surrender in Iraq. Such actions spur terrorists to ever greater efforts to kill American service personnel..and innocent Iraqi citizens as they wage a propaganda war designed to make headlines and convince Americans the war is not worth the effort of freeing 25,000,000 Iraqi citizens. Look for more of that in the weeks leading up to the elections in November. Then, thank O'Bomber and the rest of the brain dead moron chairwarmers in the leftist defeatist demoscat Congress.

It must therefore be racism raising it's ugly head because that's no reason to be against O'Bomber.

One cannot be against O'Bomber because he said the war is lost but refuses to go to Iraq, look our military personnel straight in the eye and tell them they lost the war in Iraq. O'Bomber doesn't want to do that because those same US military personnel would have some very choice things to say to the moral, intellectual and physical coward..Barack O'Bomber.

But that's not a good reason to be against O'Bomber...so it must be racism.

One cannot be against O'Bomber for pushing a bill in the Senate of the United States which would lead to a tax increase of almost $1,000,000,000,000 and seek to disarm Americans in violation of their 2nd Amendment rights.

No, that couldn't possibly be a reason to be against Barack O'Bomber...so it must be racism.

One could not possibly be against O'Bomber because he sat in a church preaching Black Liberation Theology..in America of all places on earth for 20 years. Black Liberation Theology which is a Marxist theology and says clearly that...God cannot be our God unless he helps us kill white people.

No, no, no, that's not black racism so it must be that jwhop is a white racist for being against O'Bomber.

When O'Bomber refuses to acknowledge the Pledge of Allegiance, one of the most traditional of American institutions then one cannot form the opinion O'Bomber's heart is elsewhere. Any visiting foreigner would assume the very same pose as O'Bomber did and as I would if I were visiting..say Canada and their National Anthem happened to be playing. But if one is an American then you stand and you either salute if you are military personnel or you place your hand over your heart..period. You especially do this if you actually want to be President of the United States.

But wait, that's not a reason to be against O'bomber so...it must be racism.

When 90%+ of blacks vote for O'Bomber, that's not racism. When 60%+ of white women vote for Hillary then...that most definitely is white racism.

There's plenty more...but none of it would explain why anyone..including me could possibly be against Barack O'Bomber..unless it's racism.

Just keep repeating the idiotic words..racist...homophobe...fascist. That's sure to score you some points with the non thinking cadres among us.

Another reason to be against O'Bomber.

He wants to bomb our friends and allies...and talk to our enemies.

O'Bomber, the intellectual lightweight with no domestic or foreign policy experience whatsoever...except that he sent his foreign policy adviser to talk with Hamas..a group on the US terrorist list.

One must be a racist to be against O'Bomber.

Barack Obama in the Carpet Bazaar
By Joel J. Sprayregen

For over five years, European powers have been negotiating with Iran over its nuclear program. The result is painfully clear: Iran is five years closer to possessing nuclear weapons. This is the context in which debate about negotiations with Iran should be understood.

The debate was re-ignited by President Bush's observation in his Knesset speech that appeasement of Hitler brought disaster. Sen. Obama, recalling his offer in a debate to negotiate with Iran "without preconditions," complained that he was being branded an appeaser although the President hadn't mentioned him. Obama called Iran and Venezuela "tiny nations" that don't threaten American security. Really? Putting aside the wisdom of undermining democratic Colombia by reneging on free-trade while courting thuggish Hugo Chavez, consider whether Iran poses a threat to this country. Iran sits astride routes controlling transport of most of the world's oil, supplies arms killing U.S. troops in Iraq, employs as proxies terrorists Hezbollah and Hamas, has kidnapped U.S. diplomats, threatens the annihilation of Israel and pursues development of nuclear weapons (notwithstanding the discredited U.S. National Intelligence Estimate). Failure to comprehend that even this partial list reveals real threats is worse than naive.

What Obama's Senate Record Shows

There is a background to this nonsense. Obama's website proposes "tough" presidential diplomacy with Iran "without preconditions." But when it comes to saying what will happen if Iran refuses to abandon nuclear weaponizing and support for terrorism, the website limply says "we will step up our political pressure and diplomatic isolation." This is exactly what the U.S. and our allies have been doing for five years without success.

Scrutinizing Obama's Senate record shows why his "policy" is chimerical. Last September, the Senate considered the Kyl-Lieberman Resolution "to express the sense of the Senate" that Iran's Revolutionary Guards are terrorists. The Resolution -- predicated on findings, including "evidence of complicity of Iran in murders of members of U.S. Armed Forces," Ambassador Crocker's report on futile discussions with Iranian officials in Baghdad plus continued "Iranian training and funding of illegal Shi'a militants that attack Iraqi and coalition forces and civilians" -- passed by 76-22. Supporters included such notable "war-mongers" as Democratic Senators Clinton (N.Y.), Schumer (N.Y.), Whip Durbin (Ill.), Armed Services Chair Levin (Mich.), Majority Leader Reid (Nev.), and Intel Chair Rockefeller (W.Va.).

The Senate Ignores Obama

Obama, unable to vote because he was campaigning, did more than announce his opposition. He introduced a counter-resolution to prohibit the U.S. from attacking Iran without explicit congressional approval. It is not clear whether or not Obama understood that Kyl-Lieberman is non-binding or whether he realized that the resolution prohibits U.S. forces from firing on Iran in self-defense, but his Senate colleagues understood his fecklessness. Obama could not attract a single co-sponsor; his Resolution is gathering cobwebs in the archives.

Absent in Obama's rhetoric of "tough" diplomacy" is a recognition that use of force might ever be necessary to deter Iranian threats. Whether this omission is founded on pandering to the MoveOn.Org vote or on Obama's experience as a Chicago community organizer -- teaching him that aldermen and real estate developers could be jawboned into submission -- it ignores the reality of a regime which exhibits photos of mutilated corpses of its victims. Experienced negotiators understand that some people parley only to gain time. Obama has compounded concern by speaking to the New York Times of the "legitimate claims" of Hezbollah and Hamas. Ex-Ambassador John Bolton, as forceful a negotiator as you can find, believes that negotiations should be used to resolve international disputes 99% of the time. Obama apparently would raise this to 100%. As Bolton concludes, this is "a naive and dangerous illusion."
Granting Time to Merchants of Death

Last week, Democrats discerned apprehensions of voters concerned with national security. They rushed into print a Wall Street Journal Op-Ed by Senate Foreign Relations Chair Joseph Biden (Del.). Biden, having surmounted prior exposure as a plagiarizer in campaign speeches and law school, is considered an elder statesman and likely Secretary of State under Obama. Biden sought to evade Obama's negotiations "without preconditions" by explaining this means "he would not become personally involved until necessary preparations had been made and he was convinced his engagement would advance our interests."

We have returned to our starting point. Obama-Biden envisions negotiations without leverage or deadlines. Iran would be delighted to invite our President into the carpet bazaar to perpetuate the negotiations commenced five years ago by the Europeans. They would even provide refreshments. The danger is not that the carpet merchant will access your credit card but not deliver the carpets. The peril is that Obama's policy will grant merchants of death time to confront the world with nuclear weapons deliverable on their available missiles

A definite upgrade in the intellectual department for you Blue. We could call it Mouse 1.5

Phony-Ops build the Obama Myth
By James Lewis

Barack Obama's appeal to his legions of enthusiasts rests in no small in their hearts. And where the heart is concerned, myths, images, and archetypes work their wonders on the nonrational faculties of the mind.

The biggest Phony-Op of the election season so far was that giant riverfront photo in Portland, Oregon with "the masses" yelling their lungs out, as if for a messianic King. Or at least we may make that sort of association. Archetypal Phony-Ops make for powerful unconscious media manipulation, and there will be a lot of them coming up. So this is a head's up if you don't want to get manipulated by the slick libs of the media.

Look at the crowd picture in the NYT on May 19, with Obama the lone speaker on the bunting-draped stand, surrounded by endless adoring throngs of people.

[img]http://www.americanthinker.com/Obama%20throng.jpg[/img

As the rock website Pitchfork gushed:

"By land and by sea, they came to see the great man speak. An estimated 75,000 in all turned out to see presidential hopeful Barack Obama at Portland's Waterfront Park yesterday afternoon -- a record crowd for Obama's own campaign, according to The New York Times, and a record crowd for Oregon political events, according to The Oregonian. Just look at them all!"

How do we know all those Oregonians were there to celebrate a political messiah? Well, (indignantly) why else would 75,000 masses get together in Oregon, just when the media need to let The People know about Our Chosen King? Maybe the tacit message of the photo -- that all those people really, really love the great man -- is true. But just to make sure enough pepople turned out, as exposed by Newsbusters, the slick Dems put on a free rock concert by the popular Decemberists band for 45 minutes prior to arrival of the Great Man. How many rock fans in Portland, OR, are going to miss that one?

The original Decembrists were members of a secret society that started a Russian revolt in 1825. The rock band of that name likes to start its concerts with the national anthem of the Soviet Union. Not one out of a hundred people at that concert know anything about the Decembrists as violent revolutionaries in Russia. The Left just loves to fool us with those sly little puns. It shows how much more they know their Marxism than the American suckers.

That's how they are building up Obama today. When they get done with him, Barack Obama will look like young King Aragorn out of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Return of the King.

The media will show us lots of photos with this archetype. Call it, "The People Greet Their Young King!"

Be honest, now, don't you get that little lump in your throat when you see a really basic archetype? Madonna and Child, Bill Clinton marching the US Marines up the West Lawn, The Grateful Masses Welcome their New King Obama? I do. That little lump in my throat tells me --- Uh-oh, I'm being suckered by another Phony-Op! In the infamous Clinton years we saw how Hollywood honchos Harry and Susan Thomason built up Bill Clinton with movie fakery. Anybody else remember the lucky "pebble cross" Bill found on the beach at Normandy? Remember Bill and Hillary dancing in the moonlight, just before the Monica scandal broke? Ever notice any of the media complaining about being used?

JRR Tolkien was a wonderful student of myth and story teller. But Professor Tolkien did not love the exploitation of mythology by Nazi propaganda in the 1930s, as he made very clear indeed.

Leni Riefenstahl was the "mythic" film propagandist for the Nazis -- and her methods are still being taught in film schools today. Soviet "Socialist Realism" was another big mythology-based propaganda art, and guess what? -- it just showed up again in Obama's campaign. That's what they teach in all the Media Arts schools today, along with the usual Leftist indoctrination. So the media know exactly how to use that kind of image on behalf of the Left.

On the other hand, John McCain is already being depicted as a crippled dwarf by nice people like these.

Oregon was a Phony-Op, a staged photo-op. The Clintons were masters of the phony-op, in the close coordination with their Hollywood friends. That's how Bill kept his numbers up.

But this tactic goes way back. The Czars did it, going back to the year 1500 when the Romanovs Czars came in. So did Julius Caesar more than a thousand years before that -- just check out Shakespeare's play, Act 1, Scene 2, where Caesar is offered the crown by Anthony on behalf of "the people of Rome," but nobly refuses --- only to change his mind later, forced by popular demand.

The most famous Russian opera, Boris Godunov, starts out with exactly this scene. Scene: The Kremlin: Crowd of peasants, drawn there by free food and herded by Cossacks with big whips. (True fact: Rock bands like The Decemberists came much later.) The poor people are told that Boris is praying to God for the wisdom to decide whether to accept the crown of All Russias. Poor Mother Russia is suffering and feels lost without a Czar to protect its people. The crowd moans in fear. Then they are literally told to shout, all together now, Hail, Hail, Boris Godunov, our new Czar!!

Boris gives in and accepts the crown. Nothing new about Obama's Phony-Op in Oregon. But we can all get unconsciously manipulated by these archetypal images -- like this one of Obama with a halo from Reuters.

So keep a sharp eye out for Phony-Ops. They will be coming at us as regular “news” features until Senator O wins. Then there'll be a lot more over the next four or eight years. But if John McCain wins you won’t see them, just as you haven't seen them with President Bush --- the most media-abused President since Ronald Reagan.

Just watch out for that little lump in your throat, the one that tells you, "Haven't I seen this before in Lord of the Rings?"

And whatever you do, don't swallow.

It's entirely fitting for O'Bomber to use a band which opens with the Anthem of the defunct Communist Soviet Union to draw his leftist crowds.

You can play the video and read the lyrics for yourself. Some might even be alert enough to wonder what an American presidential candidate would be doing even appearing at the same event as the little leftist Marxist band, The Decemberists playing the Soviet Union National Anthem instead of our own.

The Kool-Aid drinkers won't even care.

Wikipedia Removes USSR Anthem Info from 'Decemberists' Page
Wed, May 21, 2008 at 3:23:21 pm PST

You have got to be kidding.

Earlier today I linked to the Wikipedia page about the band The Decemberists, to point out that in addition to warming up for Barack Obama in Oregon, the band is known for using the National Anthem of the Soviet Union as an introduction to their concerts.

That section of the Wikipedia page has now gone down the memory hole. Here’s what it looks like now: The Decemberists - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

The band is named in reference to an 1825 revolt over the Imperial Russian succession (Decembrist revolt). It is not related to the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917, although Meloy has referred to the historical Decembrists as a communist revolutionary group. [2] Their name is also a reference to the atmosphere associated with the month of December.

Here’s the page as it existed earlier today: The Decemberists - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

The band is named in reference to an 1825 revolt over the Imperial Russian succession (Decembrist revolt), and is not related to the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917. The band’s use of the National Anthem of the Soviet Union as an introduction at many concerts has sparked controversy as it is seen by some as an endorsement of the Soviet system.[citation needed]

Leftists scurrying around at Wikipedia and reacting to news stories by hiding things that make Barack Obama look bad? Say it ain’t so!

It gets pretty blatant when they start trying to hide facts that are completely uncontroversial and undisputed. I had heard about The Decemberists’ intro music long before seeing that Wikipedia entry.

Here’s a video, in fact, of the introduction to one of their shows in Pennsylvania a year ago, which captures the rousing Communist strains of the USSR anthem quite well.

(Video player requires Flash Player.)
If you feel like singing along...

Unbreakable Union of freeborn Republics,
Great Russia has welded forever to stand.
Created in struggle by will of the people,
United and mighty, our Soviet land!

CHORUS:
Sing to the Fatherland, home of the free,
Bulwark of peoples in brotherhood strong.
O Party of Lenin, the strength of the people,
To Communism’s triumph lead us on!

2.
Through tempests the sunrays of freedom have cheered us,
Along the new path where great Lenin did lead.
To a righteous cause he raised up the peoples,
Inspired them to labour and valourous deed.

CHORUS

3.
In the victory of Communism’s deathless ideal,
We see the future of our dear land.
And to her fluttering scarlet banner,
Selflessly true we always shall stand!

CHORUS

O'Bomber as Soviet style art sold by the O'Bomber campaign.

April 18, 2008
The Obama Aesthetic
By Thomas Lifson

Barack Obama's campaign has been all about image. The well-dressed, impeccably groomed, and elegantly articulate speaker was able to speak of hope, change, and unity, and for awhile the public bought it. Capitalizing on the huge store of guilt, compassion, and hope for better racial relations among the vast majority of Americans of all races, Obama posed as the man who might heal the wounds of the past.

The bonhomie lasted for months, as the press corps, no strangers to their own guilt and hope and leftist inclinations, averted its eyes from those elements of his politics and life story that were discordant with a unifier's mission, and portayed him as almost supernaturally virtuous. Obama long ago learned how to disarm strangers who might find him an unusual or perhaps threatening figure, and as long as the scrutiny didn't get too detailed, the game worked splendidly.

But that was before Hillary Clinton's campaign took him seriously. Before the Clinton war room wizards, past masters of planting stories and themes in friendly media hands, got to work on him. American Thinker and other conservative websites long have been pointing to his Alinskyite past, noting his Senate voting record and his propensity to associate with left wing extremists like Bill Ayers. But until very recently, the major media were content to allow his chosen narrative of centrism and unity to prevail. No messy qualms about actual policies disturbed the aesthetic of hope and optimism and unity.

The press collaboration with Obama's PR became so sickeningly obvious that Saturday Night Live was able to mock it savagely, and receive kudos for puncturing the bubble. With the impetus of scornful laughter haunting them, mainstream journalists began to pay more attention to Obama's dubious associations. Video of Pastor Wright hit ABC, and from there the rest of the mainstream media began to pay attention to discordant notes in his rhetoric of reassurance to middle Amercia.

The ABC News-sponsored debate Wednesday night featured unprecedentedly tough questioning (at least for a liberal) by George Stephanopoulos and Charlie Gibson. Obama stumbled in his responses, comparing admitted terror bomber Bill Ayers to United States Senator Tom Coburn, a physician who has delivered thousands of babies. Even more astonishingly, when reminded that capital gains tax increases actually decrease tax revenue while cap gains tax cuts increase them, he actually retreated to the realm of class warfare, insisting that regardless of the consequences, he wants to punish the owners of capital in the name of "fairness."

Welcome the new aesthetic of Barack Obama, the left wing ideologue. The signs have long been there, for those with the eyes to see them.

It is no accident that Obama has become the candidate of the Democrats' left wing fringe, typified by the Daily Kos crowd, despite his continuing efforts to sound a centrist note. The kind of people who are comfortable working with a poster of Che Guevara looking over their shoulders have been attracted to Obama because they read the little signals belying his centrist pose.

Of course, it may be unfair to hold a candidate responsible for all the actions of any of his supporters, but when a campaign itself indulges in the aesthetic of leftism, it may actually mean something. Take the striking posters of the candidate created by left wing artist Shepard Fairey and sold by the online Obama store run by his campaign. The entire run of the Fairey posters has sold out, so popular are they among the leftist cognoscenti whose aesthetic tastes run to nostalgic socialist realism.

Of the Fairey posters, the "Progress" poster is the most interesting. "Progressive" is, of course, the favorite euphemism for the hard left today.

Take a close look at the Obama campaign emblem placed on the "progress" poster. It is placed almost as if it were a medal worn on his lapel. And in place of the ordinary Obama campaign "O" seen on the "Change" poster, the "Progress" poster features a five pointed star in the middle. Look at it close up:

The symbol is almost reminiscent of the Soviet medal the Order of the Red Star [hat tip to reader Mark Roth]:

This is not to suggest that Obama is some Manchurian Candidate controlled by a conspiracy from the vanished USSR, but rather that his campaign is choosing to cultivate a hard left constituency via semiotic means. There is in America a substantial faction of the hard left which waxes nostalgic for the good old days of Soviet art and culture, and members of this group have been cultivated by the Obama campaign.

Of course, the smug in-group nostalgia for an evil and murderous ideology is not only repellant to most Americans, it is easily mocked.

Barack Obama has been able to preach racial harmony while attending and donating to Rev. Jeremiah Wright's church for two decades. He has been able to masquerade as a centrist while hobnobbing with the radical chic activists and unrepentant terrorists of Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood. He has been able to pose as a centrist while believing in the necessity of punishing owners of capital. But with Hillary Clinton and her minions aggressively pursuing him, and an awakened press chagrinned at giving him a pass for so long, those days may be numbered.

God, for taking a replica of the Presidential Seal of the United States and using it for a campaign prop, we ought to throw this guy out of the United States.

He sure isn't ready for prime time.

The Great Seal of Obamaland?
Rick Moran

This is either the creepiest thing I've ever seen in politics or a joke. Obama showed up at a meeting of Demcocratic governors in Chicago yesterday and appeared behind a podium sporting a seal that looks remarkably like the Presidential Seal:

Is all this talk about Obama being the savior of America – the man who can bridge the gap between the races, heal the sick, feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and return America to the good old days of grovelling at the feet of the UN and other tyrants going to the candidate’s head?

Like I said - creepy.

Has the candidate been overcome with a sense of his own destiny? Has be become some kind of megalomaniac?

The boys at Powerline get it about right:

Yesterday Barack Obama rolled out his very own seal. The New York Daily News reports the comments of the Obama and McCain campaigns in "Barack Obama appears with personalized presidential seal." As the Daily News notes, the Seal of Barack Obama bears an uncanny resemblance to the Great Seal of the presidential seal, though it incorporates the Obama campaign graphic and a nifty new Latin motto: "Vero Possumus." Andrew Malcolm helps with the translation of the Latin motto. Malcolm explains:

The seal's...got a terrifically impressive motto in Latin -- "Vero Possumus" -- which means "The possum speaks truthily."

No, just kidding. It actually means "Truly we're able" which translates as "Si se puede" which translates as "Yes, we can."

Maybe someone can explain why putting the banal refrain of "Yes We Can" in Latin isn't just a little pretentious. Sort of like translating "I enjoy Coca-Cola with my hamburger" into French in order to seduce a woman.

Of course, this is one of those "distractions" we are instructed by the candidate to ignore. For myself, and as I explain here, the whole thing gives me the creeps.

Have you ever wondered just what kind of raving lunatic Barack O'Bomber really is?

Have you ever wondered just what kind of raving lunatics his useful idiot followers really are?

Have you ever wondered why O'Bomber's friends and associates consist of raving Marxists, domestic terrorist bombers and hate filled ranters against America preaching hate for America from the pulpit of O'Bombers church of 20 years?

Have you ever wondered why an American would have anything whatsoever to do with any of these people?

Have you ever wondered just how O'Bomber is going to "unite" America and "unite" America against what or in favor of what?

The answer to most of these question is simple. O'Bomber agrees with the aims and goals of those who hate the United States. His every effort is to divide while appearing to be the "Messiah of Unity".

But tell me now..if you can...how these messages appeared on O'Bombers official web blog site...and stayed up there since April, 2008...if his useful idiot followers and indeed O'Bomber himself didn't agree with the sentiments expressed there.

OFFICIAL BARACK OBAMA BLOG SITE NOW AMONG BEST ON WEB

By Charles Johnson

I never thought I’d say this, but it’s true; the official web site of a presidential candidate has now become one of the best places on the web for high-quality ranting lunacy, fully the equal of any raging craziness you’ll find at Daily Kos or Democratic Underground.

This blog has been posted since April 8th, by “Curtis ByThePeopleForThePeopleOfThePeople:” Barack Obama : : Change We Can Believe In | Curtis Abbey’s Blog: Petraeus makes me so angry (and sad).

Petraeus makes me so angry (and sad)
By Curtis ByThePeopleForThePeopleOfThePeople - Apr 8th, 2008 at 1:09 pm EDT

Who is the greatest American war criminal of them all? Petraeus, Bush, Cheney, or Rumsfeld? I’m gonna have to go with Bush. He’s ultimately responsible for what the other two retards are saying. Here’s a fact for you morons. THE SURGE IS NOT WORKING!!!!

The only reason you have relative peace (compared to the kill counts pre-surge) is because you are bribing people not to kill you!!! Here’s two options: The Iraqi patriots aren’t killing as many infidel American troops because a: There’s 15% more infidels now than before or b: The infidels are paying the patriots millions of dollars. I’m gonna f***** go with B. I don’t think there’s a single Iraqi patriot out there that said, wow there’s 15% more of them out there, let’s stop defending our religiously sacred homeland now. If anything the surge is working because if you kill enough Iraqi patriots then there will be less people trying to kill American infidels. Do the math. 1,000,000+ Iraqi dead, 3,000,000+ Iraqis who have fled the country. That looks like 4M less Iraqi patriots. Gee could that be why there have been percentage points less violence?

Who knew these warmonger generals were math guys? S*** I don’t think Bush has used math since the last time he had to figure out how many lines to split an 8 ball up into. Let’s f***** forget about this election in November, and talk seriously about what these warmonger thieves are doing RIGHT F****** NOW!!!

******* (this) AMERICA! ******* GEORGE BUSH’S AMERICA! ******* THIS FASCIST “AMERICA”! ******* AN AMERICA THAT FIGHTS WARS FOR OIL FOR ELITE WEALTH ACCUMULATION! ******* AN AMERICA THAT DOESNT GIVE TWO SH*TS ABOUT THEIR POOR OR THEIR MINORITIES! F*** YOU PRESIDENT BUSH!

F*** this “Christian” movement. You think Jesus would be interested in any of this BULLS***? I don’t think so. Jesus wasn’t a shock and awe guy. He was a love your brother guy. And the Iraqis are your brothers too. If you weren’t so deeply racist and hateful and scared, that would be obvious. It is not too late for articles of impeachment.

Moving right along, here’s another class-A freakazoid, with a strange paranoid rant about the CIA and the State Department and the FBI and the ... mmm ... glavin! Barack Obama : : Change We Can Believe In | geral sosbee’s Blog: COLLAPSE OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

COLLAPSE OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
By Geral from Harlingen, TX - May 29th, 2008 at 2:56 pm EDT

The Responsibility For The Collapse Of The USA

The present task is to identify agencies and *individuals of the USA government who are responsible for the collapse of the constitutional democracy and the simultaneous formation of the current totalitarian state here. As may be expected the criminals and the terrorists of the two premier homicidal groups (i.e.: the fbi/cia) are also the spearheads of the nation’s global intel operations, both overt and covert.** Other intel groups take orders (either directly or indirectly ) from the fbi and the cia.

Due to the corruption, incompetence and outright felonious mindset of the members of the fbi/cia, all of the other intel arms of the USA government are unable to protect the country from the mounting threats by persons and countries who seek to stop this nation’s assault on Humanity. The reason for the national intel failure, therefore , can be directly attributable to the fbi/cia and their foolish congressional and presidential Handlers. As a result of this website and (www.sosbeevfbi.com) I have learned that the following intel groups study my material sometime in an apparent effort to comprehend why the fbi would attempt to frame (or neutralize) one of their own...

Cue Twilight Zone theme. Tuesday, June 24, 2008
http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/Read.aspx?GUID=39630B42-169C-4C2C-86C4-BA8EC878BD 8B

Some would attempt to say O'Bomber is not responsible for what's posted at his official web blog site and that's true..to a point. But O'Bomber is most certainly responsible for the fact this raving lunacy stayed up there for more than 2 months.

When it was discovered a Cuban flag with a picture of Che was hanging on the wall of one of O'Bomber's campaign offices in Texas, the story was that O'Bomber wasn't responsible.

If John McCain had said any of the lunatic things O'Bomber has said or if any of McCain's campaign workers flew a communist flag in a campaign office...McCain would be finished...Period.
