States in the US declaring Sovereignty

Oklahoma has just declared its sovereignty from the federal government of the United States.

It was passed by the Oklahoma House of Reps by a vote of 92-3. However, right now this is just a resolution and not necessarily that meaningful in the whole scope of things. They are hopeful it will lead to an actual law.

Hot Damn, I hope they stick to their guns.

Do you believe this declaration of State Sovereignty has to do with the so called Super Highway and the attempt to establish a North American Union?

In any event, things started to go immediately wrong when the 17th Amendment was ratified.

The direct election of Senators gave them the idea they no longer needed to represent the interests of their respective states but rather the interests of the Federal Government.

The 17th needs to be repealed and the sooner the better.

well...uh? It seems that NAFTA could be reason that Oklahoma has passed this resolution and why there may be other states who do likewise.

In order for NAFTA to work as it should there will have to be built massive transportation and communication corridors, some of which will be privately funded, but much of which will be paid for with tolls and taxes.

Obviously, the federal government will have to oversee these developments and the states involved will have to relinquish property and money to see this plan come to fruition.


However, I personally believe this act is probably more likely related to the REAL ID which, Oklahoma has already condemned.

There is already a Oklahoma state law prohibiting participation in the program.


Oklahoma's legislature had approved legislation saying that Real ID "is inimical to the security and well-being of the people of Oklahoma" and, therefore, "the state of Oklahoma shall not participate in the implementation of the Real ID Act. The Department of Public Safety is hereby directed not to implement the provisions of the Real ID Act..."

That seems pretty clear; in fact, it would be difficult to be any clearer.

The other states with laws outright rejecting Real ID Are:
Maine, Montana, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Washington

So if this be the underlying reason, we may see some interesting "movements" from these guys as well?

Of course it could be something even more obvious such as a big oil company is now secured to build a refinery in this state and this clearly sets the stage to tell the EPA to Pi$$ off.

*Whatever the reason, I do feel it's a move in the right direction to give a wake up call to America that it's time to take back our country. Time to take some personal responsibility for our future.

If you live somewhere outside of the United States this may seem a bit confusing so it might help to clarify exactly what Oklahoma is doing.

The USA is not one country. It is 50 countries, called states, that act as one, similar to the EU. but in order for the various states to act as a single unit (required for defense, inter-state commerce, and international trade), a central government was established through the US Constitution.

This Constitution states exactly how the Federal Government is to be operated, who will perform what roles, how they will be elected, what the limits of their power are, etc. Also, in order to protect the citizens from a strong central government, it includes several powers that may not be used. The most known of these are the Bill of Rights, our first ten amendments which were made immediately.

It also states that anything not specified as a power of the central government would be decided by the individual states. This is where the problem starts, as recently the USA government has been playing fast and loose with the restrictions placed on them. Oklahoma, by this resolution, is declaring officially that they will not allow the Federal Government to exercise powers and policies that are not contained in the Constitution.

In essence, it is an official declaration by a state government that the Federal Government will not be allowed to violate the US Constitution any more. This is probably in response to a combination of the many recent things passed and or signed during the twilight hours in said connection with 9-11, which have serious sovereignty implications.

While it is not a secession and not the start of another War Between the States, it is reminiscent of the first rumblings of that infamous episode in our history, entitled "The Civil War"

Oklahoma Recalls Bill That Would Have Facilitated NAFTA Superhighway

The Oklahoma State Senate voted to recall a bill that would have further facilitated plans for the NAFTA Superhighway to run through the state. There were fears that parts of Bill 1507, which dealt with Foreign Trade Zones, were tied to the superhighway which is to extend from Mexico to Canada. There were also concerns that this would lead to private property seizures through eminent domain. This is already taking place in parts of rural Texas with the construction of the Trans Texas Corridor (TTC), which is to be the first leg of this superhighway infrastructure.

Some have argued that Bill 1507 would have allowed for the creation of foreign owned smart ports. This would have allowed for imported goods to pass through the U.S./Mexican border without going through customs until Oklahoma . This follows in the same line as other proposed inland ports, such as the one in Kansas City. The NAFTA Superhighway will be a borderless open transportation system that will further facilitate the flow of cheap goods from China. Oklahoma has already passed legislation to stop the TTC from coming through the state.

The NAFTA Superhighway is the necessary infrastructure needed for the creation of a North American Union. It will serve as a highway for cheap Chinese goods and cheap labor from Mexico and Latin America. It will untimely benefit multinational corporations, who view borders as barriers to trade and greater profits. Last year, Rep. Virgil Goode, R-Va., introduced a House resolution that stated congressional opposition to the construction of a superhighway or entry into North American Union.

The link from the Mexican border to Oklahoma is to be the highest priority, and has been branded the Trans Texas Corridor (TTC). If completed, it would encompass more than 4,000 miles. It is being financed by the Spanish company Cintra, who will lease and operate it as a toll road. It is set to have 1,200-foot corridors with separate lanes for passenger vehicles and large trucks, and room for future upgrades. Opposition to the TTC is growing, and for the second straight year, ranchers and other opponents marched on the Texas state capital in protest. Some might recall that in a blatant effort to try and stifle opposition, a company with close ties to Cintra purchased many local newspapers from towns that fall in the TTC’s path. The TTC is part of the NAFTA Superhighway, and is proof of further integration into a North American Union.

In January of this year, Texas Congressman and Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul filed a bill in the House of Representatives to prevent the TTC from receiving federal dollars. He was also very concerned and wanted to prevent the loss of private land through eminent domain. The TTC will see upwards of 584,000 acres of prime farm and ranch land lost, with up to a million people displaced through this practice.

The recalling of this bill by the Oklahoma State Senate is another small and maybe even temporary victory in the struggle to stop the NAFTA Superhighway and the North American Union. Nevertheless, it is encouraging that citizens concerns in regards to this issue are being echoed by more and more legislators. Many states have already passed anti-North American Union and anti-NAFTA Superhighway resolutions. The NAFTA Superhighway is a threat to private property, our sovereignty, and security.

Well rogue, just in case I'm ever looking for a guru, I'll put your name on the list...but don't hold your breath.

There was a time when history and government were actually taught in public schools in the United States but obviously, not any longer.

The United States is a Republic as opposed to a Democracy. In fact, the US Constitution guarantees to every state a republican form of government.

Each member of the House of Representatives represents a voting district in their state..about 30,000 people's interests to the Federal government.

The Senate was to represent the interests of their states to the federal government and were to be chosen by their state Governors and State Legislatures to do so.

By amending the US Constitution to permit/require the direct election of Senators, a republican form of government is now denied to the states.

The entire premise upon which the US Constitution was written and ratified was that the Federal Government was to be limited to the enumerated powers granted by the Constitution and that the Federal government was a creation of the people and the States.

"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America".

Try to follow along here. Is that which is created greater and more powerful than it's creator(s)?

As it is, we now have a totally out of control Federal government which has assumed powers not granted. In other words, the Federal government has axed the 10th Amendment and overthrown the United States Constitution.

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

The way to put the Federal government in it's proper place is to repeal the 17th Amendment and make US Senators answerable to the states they are supposed to be representing...under the control of their Governors and State legislatures as they should be.

In short rogue, of course the direct election of Senators IS a bad thing with the predictable consequences which have occurred.

As to when I became a "human being", I would say most likely long before you and in a time when schools actually educated as opposed to indoctrinate and propagandize their students.

That's 1 rogue.

Of course the 16th Amendment should be repealed and so should the Federal Reserve Act of 1913.

Bush, is one of the main goons centralizing all the power in the U.S. into the federal government (esp. the executive branch). Shouldn't you be, like, ecstatic that he's this close to declaring martial law and suspending the coming election? I'm sure he wouldn't make an ardent supporter like you sleep in one of those nasty FEMA camps...

Well rogue, you've certainly proved you don't have the ability to focus on the subject matter. The discussion is about the sovereignty of the states...as guaranteed by the US Constitution and also about the inevitable consequences of the direct election of US Senators...who were supposed to be protecting the rights of the sovereign states in the Congress of the United States.

BTW rogue, just where are those so called FEMA internment camps you're yapping about?

I asked one the of the conspiracy gurus...one Alex Jones by name and never received a response. Perhaps Alex is too busy making money off his bullshiiit conspiracy theory to respond.

So rogue, this is your big chance...and only since you made the allegation. Please furnish..right here on this thread, the GPS coordinates of all those "nasty FEMA camps" you're yapping about.

So rogue, when the transfer of power in the Executive Branch and in the Legislative Branch of government occurs exactly on schedule...as it always has for more than 230 years, what nutty conspiracy theory are you going to turn to next?
