I've spent the time since Saturday night waterproofing my house. Hurricane Fay was projected to go straight over the Florida coastal beach area where I live.

So, now that Fay is not a problem and went way East and turned out to not be a hurricane when it hit Florida, I've spent most of the day putting everything back in it's proper place.

By the time my birthday rolls around, Fay will be gone and it should be a bright and sunny Florida day. Hopefully, purrrrfect.

How's the weather by your part of the state? We're getting some storm bands over here and the harsher part of the storm might be heading our way, here in Central FL. I hope you are safe.

Yes, it seems Miss Fay has decided to give us all a break. Yesterday I went out to get some food and water and the grocery store I went to was all out of water. I found some at another store. (I'm in the Tampa Bay area) I've driven by Madeira Beach a few times and each time thought fondly of you.

Anyway....hope you have a lovely day. I'm sure FL will be back to it's normal sunny self by tomorrow.

Didn't know you're in Florida too 26T. Yeah, any report of hurricanes sends people into the stores for lots of things, including water. How did you miss my "jwhop this way---" signs when you were cruising Gulf Blvd in Madeira Beach?

Well BUD, glad to see you have your priorities right for this time in your life. We can chew the fat, buffalo, squirrel or whatever...your choice, later when you get yourself unburied.

TINK, thank you, IT IS the most wonderful time of the year. The grass needs mowing...twice a week, the birds are singing the bees are buzzing, the flowers are blooming, the sun is shining and all is right in the Leo Universe. Have you found a new place to idle your hours away?

Has anyone seen any posts from NosiS in the last couple of days...or heard from him? I gathered from what he said that he's in central Florida and some parts of Florida have had more than 30 inches of rain in a day or two. Hope you're OK NosiS.

Yes, the same thing happens up north when a noreaster is coming. Since the last report I had heard at that time was that the storm was changing directions and not going to affect this area much, I wasnt expecting the stores to be such nuthouses. Shouldve known better.
