Well, now O'Bomber supporters are urging Missouri law enforcement officials to prosecute anyone who says anything negative about him in ads.

Strangely enough, some prosecutors and law enforcement officials there are both O'Bomber supporters and are down with O'bomber in attempts to stiffle free speech. After all, any ad which is disputed could be said by O'Bomber supporters in Missouri law enforcement....to be lies.

Now, what is it leftists are always wheezing, whining, howling, screeching and shrieking about. Oh yeah, they're soooo afraid the Bush administration is going to crack down on their civil liberties...as in 1st amendment free speech...which btw, isn't happening and hasn't happened.

So now, we find the extremist leftist Marxist radical going after other's free speech rights and it's not the first time for O'Bomber. As I have noted numerous times here, it's always leftists who attempt to shut others up who disagree with them.

Addressing those depicting false ads, and addressing them that Obama is a Christian, and supports tax-cuts.

"Campaign asks Missouri law enforcement to target anyone who lies or runs misleading TV ads...

Perhaps the state of Missouri has experienced flooding ads with downright offensive lies, to the mid-western residents. That would make sense for Militarian Mccain to target Missouri since they are both tied, perhaps leaning towards Obama by a slight percentage.

Not the same thing as the police squads present and the RNC, pepper-spraying and attacking peaceful protesters riled by paid anarchists. We all saw that on the news.

Completely separate. Spreading lies about a candidate is unfortunate Coercion for innocent, and mis-informed peoples using fear as a weapon.

Thats just horse sh*t, article taken out of context.

If lying about political opponents were a criminal offense demoscat members of congress and all or most all demoscats in the O'Bomber campaign would be serving life sentences in prison.

This latest example of attempting to shut people up is nothing short of stifling free speech. O'Bomber is a public figure..as is George Bush. The outright lies told about Bush by demoscats and Barack Hussein O'Bomber are legion. You haven't seen Bush telling anyone to shut up or attempt to silence them with threats of civil or criminal complaints.

On the other hand, O'Bomber's campaign attempted to silence a radio talk show host in Chicago, attempted to silence a television station with threats against their broadcast license and a letter to the Justice Department..and now this piece of unconstitutional trash.

O'Bomber is exactly what I've said he is...a Marxist socialist who has no regard for US law, the US Constitution or the rights of US citizens under US and State law.

He's not going to be elected President and should never have been elected to the US Senate. Hopefully, the citizens of Illinois will correct their glaring error and O'Bomber can go back to "community organizing"/"street agitating" with his radical Marxist socialist friends...against the US and from the safety and comfort of the most corrupt political city administration in the United States...the Daley political machine in Chicago Illinois.

Missouri's Obama Truth Squads
Lee Cary

Last Tuesday, CBS affiliate Channel 4 TV News in St. Louis reported that some Missouri sheriffs and prosecutors have formed a truth squad to target anyone who engages in misleading ad or statements about Senator Obama.

Here's the transcript of the lede on the CBS story:

"Senator Barack Obama's presidential campaign is asking Missouri law enforcement to target anyone who lies or runs a misleading television ad during the presidential campaign."

The implied threat in the Channel 4 report is that prosecutors and sheriffs across Missouri will enforce "Missouri ethics laws" and conduct criminal investigations of "anyone who lies or runs a misleading television ad" against Barack Obama. Although the report did not directly state that intent, that implied message was clearly conveyed.

Two high-profile officers of the court spoke on camera: Jennifer Joyce, St. Louis Circuit Attorney, and Robert P. McCullouch, St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney. No one was available at either of their offices on Friday to comment on the story.

Channel 4 mentions the expected support of Jefferson County Sheriff Glen Boyer in the truth squad efforts. Captain Ralph Brown, in charge of press relations for the Sheriff's Department, could not be reached for comment on Friday.

Scott Holste, speaking Friday on behalf of the Missouri Attorney General's office, was available for comment. He said he had already been contacted about the Channel 4 report, that the Attorney General's office was not involved in any way with truth squads, and that he found the CBS news item to be "a mangled story."

Also on Friday, Joe Carroll, Director of Campaign Financing, Missouri Ethics Commission, said that he is "not familiar with any campaign law that applies."

John Mills, the Channel 4 reporter, was unavailable for comment Friday.

Was the St. Louis CBS affiliate complicit in the attempt, by some elected Democrat court officials in the St. Louis area, to stifle free political speech in Missouri on Senator Obama's behalf?

The answer to the last question in this article is an unqualified...yes.

If this were the case, you wouldn't have any of your media or blogs, Jwhop. Your whole "information" network would have gone up in smoke.

Gov. Blunt Statement on Obama Campaign’s Abusive Use of Missouri Law Enforcement

JEFFERSON CITY - Gov. Matt Blunt today issued the following statement on news reports that have exposed plans by U.S. Senator Barack Obama to use Missouri law enforcement to threaten and intimidate his critics.

“St. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch, St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce, Jefferson County Sheriff Glenn Boyer, and Obama and the leader of his Missouri campaign Senator Claire McCaskill have attached the stench of police state tactics to the Obama-Biden campaign.

“What Senator Obama and his helpers are doing is scandalous beyond words, the party that claims to be the party of Thomas Jefferson is abusing the justice system and offices of public trust to silence political criticism with threats of prosecution and criminal punishment.

“This abuse of the law for intimidation insults the most sacred principles and ideals of Jefferson. I can think of nothing more offensive to Jefferson’s thinking than using the power of the state to deprive Americans of their civil rights. The only conceivable purpose of Messrs. McCulloch, Obama and the others is to frighten people away from expressing themselves, to chill free and open debate, to suppress support and donations to conservative organizations targeted by this anti-civil rights, to strangle criticism of Mr. Obama, to suppress ads about his support of higher taxes, and to choke out criticism on television, radio, the Internet, blogs, e-mail and daily conversation about the election.

“Barack Obama needs to grow up. Leftist blogs and others in the press constantly say false things about me and my family. Usually, we ignore false and scurrilous accusations because the purveyors have no credibility. When necessary, we refute them. Enlisting Missouri law enforcement to intimidate people and kill free debate is reminiscent of the Sedition Acts - not a free society.”

But, jwhop, don't you know free speech is only for lefties and those who agree with them?! Bush is the Anti-Christ, Bush eats babies, Republicans, Conservatives and anyone not voting for a Democrat are brainwashed sheeple, Sarah Palin's daughters portrayed as victims of incest is humorous and Sarah Palin deserves to be gang-raped by a bunch of black men ... that's all protected speech. But questioning and criticizing Obama for his past and present actions and his "plans" for the future? Illegal and undeniably wrong!

Having kept up with not only this site but various other sources over the years, it is unbelievably hilarious that the things we've been warned about regarding the evil Neo Cons is going on with Obama sans, as far as I know, things like reptilian overlords or blood sacrifice. Is it wrong when Republican politicians and supporters purposely do stupid, nasty, and/or illegal things that jeopardize our nation, our Constitution and our people? Absolutely. But if it's a Democrat? No fault. No criticism. Don't be a meanie, they believed they were helping. All best intentions in spite of their record. And if you deny that TRUTH then the name-calling, character smearing, and unstoppable whining that comes your way is your own fault (and fully protected by one-way free speech).

Are there people out there that still believe that any politician is completely infallible? Because so far it seems that Obama's sh*t smells like roses to way too many people.

Isn't it strange that, aside from the local news there in Missouri, no other news organizations have reported on this despite it becoming clear more than several days ago? As far as I can tell, the only way to find out about this at the moment is to read those highly unreliable blogs that NEVER tell the truth.

God bless Al Gore and his invention of the internet.

Ooooooh, guess what! This isn't even the first occasion! Apparently, Obama's campaign has a history of this highly ironic course of action...to say the least.

Ok, so politicians want to get the truth out. There's no harm in that.

However, this latest abuse of Obama's political influence is absolutely horrid and just plain scary.

Oh, silly me Eleanore. How could I forget the double standard rule leftists attempt to enforce. Whatever they say...no matter how vile, no matter how big a lie, is acceptable political speech.

On the other hand, anything anyone says which puts THE ONE, the Messiah, the Lord High O'Bomber in a bad light..is a criminal and should be prosecuted because poor THE ONE is being persecuted.

Obama has a history of attempting to use law enforcement and mob bully tactics to keep facts about his past and present from coming to the public's attention.

Anyone who isn't down with bowing to leftist think should just STHU...a leftist theme we've seen played out here on GU.

People should ask themselves why...leftists who screech, whine and shriek about their free speech rights are the first to attempt to shut others up. Leftists don't even begin to practice what they preach.

Wait, those Missouri prosecutors and sheriffs in Missouri didn't really mean what they very clearly said. No, no, no, they aren't involved in using their offices as state, county and city officials to harass, intimidate and bully those who aren't down with THE ONE, The Lord High O'Bomber. Right, of course not!!
No, no, no, they weren't attempting to shut McCain and McCain supporters up and stifle their rights to free political speech. Of course not!! Right!

Prosecutors on Obama 'Truth Squad' sound retreat
No one involved 'has any intention of prosecuting anybody'

Missouri law officials, including public prosecutors, who were reportedly planning to "respond immediately" to any misleading advertisements against Barack Obama if they "might violate Missouri ethics laws," have now backed off the intimidating implications of that report, promising they have no intention of prosecuting anyone.

As WND reported, prosecuting attorneys Bob McCulloch and Jennifer Joyce originally announced on KMOV-TV in St. Louis their participation in Obama's "Truth Squad," pledging to defend the candidate from untruthful ads with an undefined "immediate" response.......

I've never heard of a campaign response team using litigation to mitigate the untruths being told by opposing campaigns, so I think the premise was probably overblown by whoever innaccurately reported it to begin with.

Sieg Heil. Shades of the Nazi Brownshirts.

They came for Jessica,
and I will not be silent

Roger Hedgecock

After World War II, trying to explain how good Germans allowed the monstrous evil of the Nazi regime, a pastor recalled that the Nazis came for the communists, and he did nothing; then for the trade unionists, then for the gypsies and Jews; then for the Catholics – and each time he did nothing. When they came for him, none were left to defend him.

Last week, here in America, they came for Jessica Hughes, and I will not be silent. I will not turn away, hoping, in the end, they will not come for me.

Jessica Hughes of Lufkin, Texas, former Marine, mother of three, answered her cell phone in the car, coming home from the emergency room. Her 9-year-old had suffered a mild concussion, but was OK.

The caller was a female Obama volunteer who asked if Jessica would support Obama for president.

Jessica replied, "No, I don't support him. Your guy is a socialist who voted four times in the state Senate to let little babies die in hospital closets; I think you should find something better to do with your time." Then Jessica hung up.

The next day, a man and a woman in suits showed up at the door of her home, identifying themselves as members of the Secret Service.

The Secret Service agents stated that the Obama campaign had complained of a death threat. They had quoted Jessica as saying, "I will never support Obama, and he will wind up dead on a hospital floor."

Jessica's husband had heard Jessica's side of the original phone call and verified the actual quote. To which the female agent replied, "Oh? Well why would she (the Obama volunteer) make that up?"

Jessica replied that the Obama volunteer was probably unhappy about what Jessica had said about her candidate. The female agent then said "That's right, you were rude!"

The male agent then displayed a file with Jessica's full name prominently printed on it and asked her how she felt about Obama. At this point, the former Marine told the agent "in no uncertain terms" (as she later recounted) that this was America and that the last time she checked, she was allowed to think whatever she wanted without being questioned by the Secret Service. And was being "rude" a federal crime now too?

The agents then admitted they had no tape of the conversation, just the quote from the Obama campaign.

Responding to Jessica's questions, the agents would not identify themselves by name, nor reveal the name of the Obama volunteer who had made the complaint. The agents did indicate that Jessica was not in a court of law yet, and that they were trying to not embarrass her "by going to all her family and neighbors."

To these implied threats, Jessica invited the agents to speak to whomever they wanted, and stated she would happily go to court since she had done nothing wrong.

Jessica asked the agents, "Look, someone calls me unsolicited on my cell phone to ask me to support their candidate, and I can't tell them why I don't?"

The Secret Service left Jessica that day, but she could not get the "visit" out of her mind.

Jessica wrote later, "The fact that the volunteer lied, the fact that the Secret Service came to my house to question me about my thoughts and feelings and threaten to embarrass me to my neighbors and go to court if I didn't cooperate is not the tragedy here.

"Because that girl on the phone doesn't have the pull to send the Secret Service to my home. Someone high in the ranks of a campaign working for a man who may be the next President of the United States of America felt comfortable bringing the force of the Federal Government to bear on a private citizen on nothing but the word of a partisan volunteer."

Taken together with the intimidation campaign against WGN Radio because it aired an interview about the Obama-Ayers connection, the use of local criminal prosecutors to intimidate TV stations in certain states to not run ads critical of Obama, and the use of race to rally black voters and shame white voters, the Obama campaign's M.O. in Jessica's case is a warning.

The pattern is unmistakable. The drumbeat of jackboots echoes now faintly, but persistently, in the fall breeze.

They came for Jessica, and I will not be silent.

So now, O'Biden is predicting an international event...to test O'Bomber..within 6 months.

He says the actions he and O'Bomber will take will seem to be the wrong actions and unpopular...but just bear with us folks cause we'll be right.

He further says O'Bomber supporters will need to go out into their communities to show their support for O'Bomber/O'Biden policy...in that very difficult situation.

Shades of Hitler's Brown Shirt army...which O'Bomber has already proposed...along with a Hitler like O'Bomber youth corps.

How about this boys and girls. Let's avoid all that and elect a President the rest of the world already knows not to try to screw with in the first place? Let's elect an American who will not send Americans out into their communities "to get in the faces of other citizens"...which O'Bomber has already done.

O'Biden is the gaffe machine gift which keeps on giving.

Biden to Supporters: "Gird Your Loins", For the Next President "It's Like Cleaning Augean Stables"
October 20, 2008 7:35 AM
ABC News' Matthew Jaffe Reports

Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., on Sunday guaranteed that if elected, Sen. Barack Obama., D-Ill., will be tested by an international crisis within his first six months in power and he will need supporters to stand by him as he makes tough, and possibly unpopular, decisions.

"Mark my words," the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. "It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We're about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy."

"I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate," Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. "And he's gonna need help. And the kind of help he's gonna need is, he's gonna need you - not financially to help him - we're gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it's not gonna be apparent initially, it's not gonna be apparent that we're right."

Not only will the next administration have to deal with foreign affairs issues, Biden warned, but also with the current economic crisis.

"Gird your loins," Biden told the crowd. "We're gonna win with your help, God willing, we're gonna win, but this is not gonna be an easy ride. This president, the next president, is gonna be left with the most significant task. It's like cleaning the Augean stables, man. This is more than just, this is more than – think about it, literally, think about it – this is more than just a capital crisis, this is more than just markets. This is a systemic problem we have with this economy."

The Delaware lawmaker managed to rake in an estimated $1 million total from his two money hauls at the downtown Sheraton, the same hotel where four years ago Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., clinched the Democratic nomination. Despite warning about the difficulties the next administration will face, Biden said the Democratic ticket is equipped to meet the challenges head on.

"I've forgotten more about foreign policy than most of my colleagues know, so I'm not being falsely humble with you. I think I can be value added, but this guy has it," the Senate Foreign Relations chairman said of Obama. "This guy has it. But he's gonna need your help. Because I promise you, you all are gonna be sitting here a year from now going, 'Oh my God, why are they there in the polls? Why is the polling so down? Why is this thing so tough?' We're gonna have to make some incredibly tough decisions in the first two years. So I'm asking you now, I'm asking you now, be prepared to stick with us. Remember the faith you had at this point because you're going to have to reinforce us."

"There are gonna be a lot of you who want to go, 'Whoa, wait a minute, yo, whoa, whoa, I don't know about that decision'," Biden continued. "Because if you think the decision is sound when they're made, which I believe you will when they're made, they're not likely to be as popular as they are sound. Because if they're popular, they're probably not sound."

Biden emphasized that the mountainous Afghanistan-Pakistan border is of particular concern, with Osama bin Laden "alive and well" and Pakistan "bristling with nuclear weapons."

"You literally can see what these kids are up against, our kids in that region," Biden said in recalling when his helicopter was forced down due to a snowstorm there. "The place is crawling with al Qaeda. And it's real."

"We do not have the military capacity, nor have we ever, quite frankly, in the last 20 years, to dictate outcomes," he cautioned. "It's so much more important than that. It's so much more complicated than that. And Barack gets it."

After speaking for just over a quarter of an hour, Biden noticed the media presence in the back of the small ballroom.

"I probably shouldn't have said all this because it dawned on me that the press is here," he joked.

"All kidding aside, these guys have left us in a God-awful place," he then said of the Bush regime, promptly wrapping up his remarks. "We have the ability to straighten it out. It's gonna take a little bit of time, so I ask you to stay with us. Stay with us."
