It will be a sad day for what America once stood for.More than two centuries giving our lives to defend our Country, our Liberty, and our Constitution, only to hand it over to a man who represents precisely what we have been fighting. A very sad day. On the flip side, if Americans really believe that Socialism is what they want, then perhaps it would be good to stop prolonging our country's slow slide into it, and bring it (socialism) full force into our lives. Obama is certainly the right guy for the job. We will see how Americans truly feel about what they have been told they want, and what they believe they want ... socialism. It won't work here. I'm going to cling to my guns, my religion, and my FREEDOM until the government tries to take them from me through force.  IP: Logged |

Ra no offence but I think your country needs to move on! This is a globe we live in, there should not be countries trying to defend themselves. That is what riles me about Americans self opinions!

Point taken. However, the People of this country and the Government of this country are two different entities who are becoming increasingly separated, so when I say ... A very sad day. ... I am talking more about the People and less about the Government. I do not like what the United States government is doing, on a whole bunch of levels. I do not want this corrupt government of ours to have any more power than necessary. Both Obama and McCain, to me, represent bigger government, although Obama makes no secret of it and is far more direct about it. I find it incomprehensible that so many people seemingly wish to give this horrific government of ours so much more power. Do you really want to see an expansion of the United States government? I do not take your comments personally, so no worries there. You are simply echoing the image that so many have of Americans. We are not all rich, greedy, and self-serving. In fact, most of us are pretty good people.  We need a bit of a revolution in this country, just as our forefathers said would be necessary. We'll see what happens.  IP: Logged |

With Barack Obama as President there is no doubt in my mind that we are all going to be hoist on our own petards. He is a political nightmare that will only get worse as time passes. Obama will get way with anything and everything. Never before I have seen such an ignorant mass be swayed by a person that wants tax the crap out of them. Rest assured, this country is entering the twilight hours, and it's going to take God to save us from the misery that will ensue from this ass and his cronies! Stay away from the cities. One more note, I am mostly concerned about Barack Obama's ego, this man's head has become larger than an air balloon, and I don't see it popping anytime soon. His inflated ego and his disdain for rural America spell disaster for those who are really troubled in this country. I don't think that those who seem overly alarmed at the prospect of an Obama presidency understand the amount of pressure there will be for him to prove himself NOT to be a radical. I would ask that you think on that for a bit. He's got a hell of a lot to prove not only as the anithesis to Bush's unpopular judgment, but also as the first black President. If he screws it up, he could screw up the chances of both Democrats as well as other non-white Presidential candidates for a generation.IP: Logged |
