Hahaha....freudian slip...

i too hope she will darn i.e mend the world.

im getting bad vibes of these two pairs and that moron Biden.

All dummies in Obama's team.

But may be the world does need to change because of Islam terrorism -- Islam is an ideology seeking to put women in subjugation, to increase conflict among religions and civilizations, and to divide humanity between believers and kafirs (unbelievers).

Time should tell.

What really surprises is the the hypocrisy of people under the duress that their belief system somehow outranks another interms of tolerence and understanding even when they are making such broad assumtions about a given religion. Then again, I am not surprised its comming from you Mannu . Even when the Holy texts place the importance of women in Islam above that of men, and even when regions under Islamic rule were allowed to openly practice the religion of their choice. Spain would be a great example of that.

Wasn't it King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia who himself said during the UN interfaith conference that religion must not be used as a vessal of terror and actually shook hands with Israeli President. Heck, he openly denounced terrorism.

Yes I am well aware of the irony given Saudi Arabia's track record with its laws that somehow in the end got interperted as "Sharia" law when infact those laws have nothing to do with religion whatsoever but are nothing but archaic tribal laws which actually are being ammended... as slow as the process might be.

But then again... No one really cares to focus on that eh Mannu ?

there is no religion that seeks to put women in subjugation. its men of a given society that do it.

like those in europe, who burnt every women they found forward minded or liberal before the renaissance , calling them witches, in the name of God

like those in India, who made women jump into their husband's burning dead body before the british raj, in the name of hindu goddess sati.

its just that these two have changed, and islam too will some day.

Sure the moon is hungry for more souls to be fed to her

Isn't Hillary into Seances? Didn't Obama confuse her with Nancy Reagan and later apologized?

But she has been known to visit the church more often than Bush Jr.

Xodian, I don't think we disagree on any of that you spoke earlier on but I am not sure why are you surprised. I have always respected people whatever faith they have followed . However when it comes to Islam and Judaism people I come across, I am always skeptical of their motives and I find them too extreme.

I want Obama and his team to succeed. But in the past Obama has flip flopped so many times on Palestine/Israel. So I am not sure where he stands on that issue today. Some one here told me it is quite normal to flip flop. But I guess it applies only if their president flip flops. To me uncertainity breds fear.

Also on your other comment and from what I thought Mahmoud A. of Iran said, it did make sense to me not to create any state in that disputed region of Jerusalem and whatever and let it be anarchist as it used to be . But then which is better -- no government or bad government? Hope Obama is well advised by his cabinet and intelligentsia. We all want them to succeed.

They believed the antichrist was Nero in Rome and so and on so forth and somehow that idea has carried over from one epoch to another. Just being alarmist and playing my role because I thing repeating things is not bad. Jesus used to say "verily" three times LOL. Because every human being is sleeping and needs to be alerted thrice in his unconscious level.

AceNirav>>>the world didn't plunge to darkness when dubya bombed iraq?

Should the eagle ever have gone after a fly?

The world has polarized since then and the current economic situation. America is no longer the country it once was. A 14 trillion dollar economy with 10 trillion dollar debt. 1/2 and 1/2 trillion to Japan and China resp. Who does not want to test America at this time. Usama was brilliant when he attacked the heart of capitalism -- the WTC. Can anything still be worser news than that?

>>>. its men of a given society that do it.

Exactly. Men are cunning in that they do not want to suffer the labor pains that women go thru and many other things. Even the temple priest service is reserved for men because they consider women to be impure for their Gods. Is women to blame for their own plight or the men controlled society? Do soul inherit body of women because they are inferior in their mind and that makes the major religions of the world correct? The premise of the earlier point being that body and mind cannot be talked about separately. Body and mind are one.

And if these Imams are so evolved spiritually then why don't they emancipate women?

BTW the Imams of the Muslim nations are like the Dalaim Lamas of the Buddhists and Acharyas of the hindus or the Popes of the Romans. Who gives a damn to those people?

War is not the solution as it is top down approach. The people of Iran must revolt bottom up if they are unhappy with the theocracy there.

Tink, I responded above.

I do not believe Islam is the only religion of the world and therefore the unbeleivers and blasphemers must be killed. Thats an extremist theology. Freedom of speech and assembly seems to be impossible in that country. I do not believe in prayers for a God too. J krishnamurthy says well "God cannot be found in the temple". There is no one to listen - who are you praying to? Whatever blessings one gets by meditation or spiritual practise or whatever -- spend it on others. do not keep it with u. The more you give the more you shall receive. It works a little bit differently in spirituality and not like the failed US banks
Next time that you pray , do not pray to God. Pray to higher beings who have ascended. Pray for the world, pray for your neighbor and then pray for yourself. Perhaps it will be answered. Not by God but by higher powers.

Quran was a religion dictated by some higher powers. Later on twisted by men. People are free to follow them and meet those powers. But NO, they are not following the ultimate supreme being. It can take eons and several lifes before one knows of one's purpose as a human being and the ultimate freedom from it.

I have actually stopped praying BTW. Because it has become absolete when one understands the meaning of it experientialy. Think about it logically, if he is all that powerful and one who gives life then why does he need us to kneel before him? Who can really give him anything? If at all someone can make him happy - it must be a heart full of love. With true love not an ignorant and a fake love and light one.

In ancient days women were condemned from attending church or be priestess because they used to think her body is not capable. Some religion gave some lame excuse - woman should be born as men before she can be enlightened. But there have been enlightened women as history has shown and some even today. Very few in numbers but they do exist.

The reason why some religion forbid women to be active in church/temple is because they think what ever benefit one gets by spiritual practices will be lost when her menses starts. And that happens once a month doesn't it? Where they become lunatic and sometimes depressed. So they think it is a waste of time for women. I also think that women are not able to control their sexual tendencies -- they want sex. Even men need it . But men can control better than women I think -especially by touching themselves. If so why are women wearing burkha

I am sure in trouble from women here. But I will state what I think it is and you are free to take it or leave it.

Anyhow back to post. Hillary must have already gone thru a menopause so I guess she is not that lunatic

I told you that, and it has nothing to do with whether "my" president does it. Maintaining a flexible position is a better strategy than maintaining a fixed position, especially when the fixed position isn't working.

Imagine yourself in a problem situation, and you have the advice of two people. One is insistant that his perspective is the only perspective, and must necessarily be right. The other one is less insistent, willing to listen to your ideas, and willing to try a whole range of options the first person isn't willing to. Which do you go with the fixed-opinion or the "flip-flopper"?
