12 days .. 18 days .. 21 days .. stretches ..
of being confined to suffering the cooks over spiced morrocan bean soup
days off at home in between ..
versus .. 2 to 3 years of same damn bean soup ..
prison seems to offer better vacation time ..
prison warden .. staff sargeant major .. not much diff. there either ..

spicy bean soup and nagging partners ..
that's the root cause of all the fighting in that part of the world ..
combatants of all sides suffer the same ..
then they go take their frustrations out on the neighbours ..

re the jailed students ..

a better path might be ..
do army service .. choose to learn a benign trade curtesy of the government ..
e.g medical .. engineering .. etc ..
do service in a civilian area .. i.e. far back from any 'border' ..
after army time .. apply said trade to an entity such as 'medicine sans frontiers' ..
or similar .. .. both trades can do a lot of good around this world ..
e.g. help folk of whatever nation deal with the consequences of earthquakes and the like ..

btw: one prediction .. astro or psychic .. don't remember which ..
sais .. there will be peace there by 2050 ..

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't military service mandatory for young males in Israel? I'm just wondering why they would be jailed if it is instead a voluntary force like ours.
