I think they know America has so much debt , it will never repay them.

And Obama is spending like anything.

Hence their demand to move away from dollar.

Watch out for G-20 nations meeting.

Car costs and home costs are almost parallel in India and America. I can't speak for other nations. But it is possible that such a thing might happen.

i seriously think it won't be long.
we aren't going to have a choice, unless you believe the media that the economy is on the upswing and everything will be fine tomorrow. which although i would like to believe i just can't see happening, i would like to believe in santa too. it's that common sense thing.

i think the dollar will crash so hard that eventually in the near future it will be the only viable alternative for ecomnomic rescue of sorts.

EVERYBODY has so much debt! around and around the globe it goes, we lend to someone who lends to someone else who lends to someone else...does this make sense?? it would make far MORE sense to cancel ALL debts and "live within our means" around the world....but the one-currency thing is definitely trendy amongst some of the big guys.

russia wants this too. it is the way the powers are thinking. i am collecting wampum! but that doesn't mean it's going to happen...buying gold has been at the top of many people's advice list for decades now...of course FDR reclaimed all privately owned gold in the 30's so i guess a hole in the backyard might be a good idea!!

well a hole in the backyard might have been a joke to you, but it is actually a viable option now. i was told silver bullion is the thing, natural resources are low and value should be inclining fairly rapidly as it has many everyday uses. banks and deposit boxes are not trust worthy at this point. gramma was on to something with her big brother is watching everything theories.

no i didn't mean it as a joke. under the mattress is for suckers! however you have to balance the attractive power of preparing for the collapse against your premonitions...i haven't kept anything in the bank but bill money for years.

but also seriously, why do we do this debt dance? wouldn't it make more sense to "neither borrower nor lender be?"
