Queen of Sheba I will submit a poem, I'm always showing poetry here but I'll start us off on this thread.

Money ( Inspired by the money Mistique of Star signs )

Money invested is money conjested when it interests as numerical theory
Slides through the fingers
Flies in it's say
Give wings to it's value it must passeth away.

Money is system
As price is denoted,
The cost of the cloth of the robot as quoted.
Giving life to it's value
Like dust it dost say
Everything touched must passeth away.

Those who are owed to pay dues in their frey
When we hold on to what must passeth away.

Let it slip through your fingers
Let it exchange what it bring
Give what u take and you'll want for nothing
Holding on to the thought
makes you sigh
It's quite funny
That I'm richer when I'm giving freely of money.
Love Cat from Belfast

I also display lots of poems here. Most of them are in pages 9/10 of Free-for-all, but I've brought a few of them to the top recently. When I come up with the next batch of poems (which is usually around Christmas and Summer), I'll post them both here and there.

I wrote this immediately after a baby finch that I found and cared for and fed all day let out one last goodbye chirp and died.

Baby

Oh, little One
A fragile spark of Life
Never to be engulfed in flame
Perched on a Payless shoe box
Missing your mother
No substitute am I

...but I Loved you

Abandoned and lost
Fed foreign food
And kept isolated
For your own safety
Just for a little while
Until you are strong enough to leave
And I, tortured by your loneliness
Waiting for the day
You can fly away

...because I Love you

Alas, your wings will never soar
On Earthly winds
Nor will you perch on power lines
Like your brothers and sisters
Or taste the misty rain upon your face
For death stole you away
When I wasn't looking
And left me with the pain
That never heals
But this day
And every day
You'll soar on wings among the Angels
And fly toward a Sun that never fades

...and I will always, always Love you

Randall Mixon

Randall, that poem feels like it came right from the heart. Post some more poetry!
One by me:

Ashes
Ashes
Ashes
Nature's black remains;

Vacuum
Vacuum
Vacuum
Gone are all life's strains;

Candles
Candles
Candles
Lights burning in the dark;

Fire
Fire
Fire
Provides a deadly spark.

She sure does. She's been busy with school lately, but I'll see if I can get her to drop by more.

This isn't a poem, but a few sentences written last year that I loved, and have kept:

February 20, 2002
Wednesday

the weather here is so wet and dreary. it has been raining since sunday. dark clouds grin upon the sidewalks, as the damp cold air dances in our hair. our cat is sleeping longer, laying curled on a kitchen chair next to the window, hypnotically lulled to rest by the tapping raindrops. the bittersweet stillness of time decrees an obedience for which not even words can describe.

Untitled

The spinning vortexes in your eyes
Hynotizes me into breathless sighs
Your mischevous glances, cleverly strewn
Keeps my heart dancing
. . . shedding a few stones
I ask you again and again
Won't you please make it snow?
I know it's only June
But snow can never come too soon

Here's a poem i wrote when I was real sad

All the words in the world
wouldn't show this feeling
Empty, Lost, Guilt, Pity
Love, Hope, Desire
They charm you with their shine
But still don't show the feeling
Favorably emotionless
Cry when you'r happy
Laugh when you'r down
Ignore all that's real
Save the pain for later
Happiness will prevail
To feed you'r searching soul
