Wow 108, first of all, this play you are writing about sounds so interesting! I wonder what Frisch's sign was?? Maybe like me Aquarius, trying to show truth to the people. Well, you paper was just fantastic. You have a great vocabulary, and it was very apparent that you knew what you were writing about inside and out. I am really impressed. Well not that I thought it wouldn't be good, but it was even better than I imagined. You should look into writing! I would like to be a writer too. Thank you for sharing that with us- please share more!I encourage everyone to read this!!! Good night! ------------------ Food is the only art that nourishes! IP: Logged |

Thank you SOOOOO much for your kind words, the Fajita! This means a lot to me. But I guess some readers may find the high-flown style and diction a bit flatulent and off-putting. But I'm so glad that you're so positive about the essay. Yes, I will try to share more. THANKS AGAIN! peace and magic, 108 IP: Logged |

No thank YOU 108! I was actually thinking about the play today. I was thinking to myself, I have to do more! I have to seize the day! I have to make a difference. And not to be saved from eternal damnation but because that is what is good I take it you liked the play? Or thought it was interesting? ------------------ Food is the only art that nourishes! Oh, you're always so kind, the Fajita. Yes, I quite like the play. But I wrote the essay simply because it was one of the set texts in my college years, and we were asked to write an essay on the topic. It was written quite a while ago, and I've made the decision to post it up on the web so that I can know more about ... myself, or what others thought of my writing. You see, back then I didn't receive any comments or feedback from my lecturer. There was just a grade. By the way, do you know of any other places where I can post it up for more feedback? I've been trying to launch some new projects in my life, and building a website being one of them. Do you have any suggestions as to what I should/could include in it? Your words are very encouraging to me. Thanks a lot. peace and magic 108 IP: Logged |

the webbie is looking good Think about the composition of the whole thing though, after you get some nice buttons to act as the menu items instead of the text links it should look brilliant. IP: Logged |

Well I am so impressed with your ideas 108. I too have wanted to put up a website, I suppose with some health info and astrology stuff, just a cool little site that I could refer people to so I didn't have to go into explaining to each person I meet why they might want to drink cayenne pepper on a daily basis Hmmm, I an wondering how to get more people to have access to view your paper...I will have brainstorm with you 108. What is your sign I sense your desire to share the truth with people! fajita------------------ Food is the only art that nourishes! IP: Logged |

i would not hesitate to criticize the play, 108, as my virgo house is very strong, but i know nil about the play. read your essay, though and truly liked its scholarly approach. i was just wondering if 'twould be better if there were something like 'transition' (sub)titles instead of one continuous flow. you remind me of an essay that i did in college. i chose a professor with a 'classical' orientation over another with more imagination to study philosophy with and so missed out on the latter's genius. i could only listen in fascination to my friends' snippets of this popular prof's course. so when a classmate became prof and undertook to teach the same course, i sat in his class about four times, curious about this 'phenomenology of love'. when he assigned his class to write an essay on it, i proceeded to do so and asked him to please check it, explaining that i'd never written one. he did. so nice of him. thanks for sharing. do write some more. the Fajita, I found some literature forum websites where I'm going to post a link to my web and see if I can get anyone to critique the essay. I guess perhaps the right way to go is to look for more similar sites, you reckon? I'm a capricorn male, with a leo moon and leo ascendent. (I'm not too proud of my leo qualities, I'm afraid. I've always admired the gentility of Pisces, would you happen to be one? ) I've got venus and my north node in aquarius though, that explains the spirit of truth???N_wevei, thanks for your suggestion. I'm quite dumb when it comes to computer and technical stuff. So I'm still groping my way around. But your suggestion surely sounds cool! And Taj, thank you for your kind words. I do appreacite your subtlety there. Do you think it would be possible at all to get your prof friend to look at my essay and critique it? I know this is a lot to ask so please only help me with this if this is not too much trouble for you. peace and magic, 108

Thx so much, Taj!!108 is a number of metaphysical significance in some cultures. Some astrology systems think there're 108 special stars/constellations in the sky, and it's number of goddess in indian culture. It is also the number of creation in certain mythology (norse/iceland???) I picked the name simply because it's one of the two numbers popped into my mind when I registered, and it just felt right to me at that time. Do you find it a bit strange or rude to use a number as a user name, though? peace and magic, 108 IP: Logged |

neither strange nor rude, 108! i just happen to be curious about most everything. i also happen to know that there are 108 beads in a mala, the "heavenly garland" or Buddhist meditation beads. tis interesting to note that the number of beads on a mala should add to the number 9, said to be connecting directly to the Creator's vibration. there seems to be varied reasons as to why tis 108. tis said that 108 is a sacred number related astrologically to the 12 astrological houses, multiplied by the 9 planets in our solar system. tis also symbolic of the 108 types of meditation, or of 108 passions that afflict man and so creates karma. read somewhere that 108 is also the number of names of the Sun God.

Wow wow wow!! I didn't know about all that interesting bits of info! Thx Taj! Perhaps we should have a more in depth discussion on the number some time. Incidentally do you know anything about hte number 384? It's supposed to be a magic number, but I can't seem to find out why it is so. the sweet Fajita, I'm sorry about my unintended sarcasm on the other thread. Now you see why I get people to look at my writing! I've decided to change my name to Raindrops. Just feel like it's the right thing to do.Will be keeping you guys informed on any updates on my page.
