I believe in everything that I should
But my faith is far too gone
In government, and medicine,
God’s been absent far too long

The only things I cling to
In times of inner pain
Is the belief that it all happens for a reason
And that karma is behind this rain

I have graciously been granted
Glass lenses of perception
Then suddenly a leather belt slaps
My face with blind redemption

The special lenses are shot into the air
And fall into another plane
I can no longer view, all the corruption
The gift of insight and healing doesn’t remain
