Sleeping CatsI saw a tiger yesterday A- basking in the sun He raised his head and looked at me And then I had to run I ran off through the woods right then That tiger right behind He could have caught me up, I'm sure But he was very kind He let me go, my lesson learned And this is what I know: When'er you see a sleeping cat Don't linger long- just go! Isn't corny poetry entertaining? ------------------ Hello everybody! I used to be QueenofSheeba and then I was Apollo and now I am QueenofSheeba again (and I'm a guy in case you didn't know)! I loved it Queen, thanks it made me & you can see by my Poe posting, I was feeling melancholy... Heres one of my fav cat poem: The Owl and the pussy -Cat The Owl and the pussy -cat went to sea In a beautiful pea-green boat, They took some honey, and plenty of money, Wrapped up in a five-pound note. The Owl looked up to the stars above, And sang to a small guitar, "O lovely pussy ! O pussy , my love, What a beautiful pussy you are, You are, You are! What a beautiful pussy you are!" pussy said to the Owl, "You elegant fowl! How charmingly sweet you sing! O let us be married! too long have we tarried: But what shall we do for a ring?" They sailed away, for a year and a day, To the land where the Bong-tree grows And there in a wood a Piggy-wig stood With a ring at the end of his nose, His nose, His nose, With a ring at the end of his nose. "Dear Pig, are you willing to sell for one shilling Your ring?" Said the Piggy, "I will." So they took it away, and were married next day By the Turkey who lives on the hill. They dined on mince, and slices of quince, Which they ate with a runcible spoon; And hand in hand, on the edge of the sand, They danced by the light of the moon, The moon, The moon, They danced by the light of the moon. Yes, I have more poetry- I'll excavate it soon. The hideaway isn't coming so great. I got it minimally roofed, but then a storm came along and blew it to peices. I'm waiting to get back to work on it 'till I have some materials sturdier than what I used before, and until I have a lot of free time (this summer). Thanks for asking! ------------------ Hello everybody! I used to be QueenofSheeba and then I was Apollo and now I am QueenofSheeba again (and I'm a guy in case you didn't know)! IP: Logged |

Sorry about the hideaway. Guess the time wasn't right. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

Well, it was the middle of winter, so I should've expected a storm or two... in any event; hope springs eternal and there's always time to try again!------------------ Hello everybody! But California winters are relatively mild, so it was a good gamble. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |
