Psalm of Wonder
R. DafremenThese hills are my home
The skies the fields in which I ride
The stars and I roam
Until the sunrise when they hide
From coppery tinges on prairie grass
While silvery moonlight 'tween the pages
Calls to me
They long for me and I for them
These trees are my temple
The wind the rythmn of my song
And to its tempo
This humble dancer moves along
With grateful heart still beating
To the pulse of this existence
Which calls to me
It longs for me and I for it
Thank you Lord
For the stars in the sky
Thank you for the wonders
Which fill my eyes
Which touch my soul
And fill my mind with song
Which bless each lonely day
Until the next should come along
For though ten billion lights bear witness
To man's domination of the land
One by one or all at once
They are extinguished by your hand
And one by one or all at once
By the glory of your grace
They are replaced
