I am twirling in a gaping void of doubt
There is no one who will feel the pain
Of a single mournful tear
Saddened visages missing
Does none desire my homecoming?
Or did I merely imagine,
Perhaps wish into torured reality
A closely comforting, yet independently social
Ring of kindred true friends?
The depressive oblivion wracks havoc
Fooling the mind into beloved content
Heartening an insecurely fragile heart
That was starting to feel mortal pain
Yet all of that flimsy faith
Now was swept down the heartbroken drain
Dared to pick up the persistently smaller pieces
Of a hope that was too bright to last
