'Tis true no wrinkles yet adorn my aging face.
But be not fooled, for I have changed.
If all you see is deja vu.
Perceptions must be rearranged.Ten years have passed since we have shared.
Space on this earth on which we fare.
Time has a way of touching all.
Left on its doorstep by the Fall.
Linear thinking. Most likely to succeed.
Success from a mind such as this? Indeed!
Painful processes, ripping out my soul.
Anguished progresses, rendering me whole.
Always searching, unable to express.
The endless yearning pulsing 'neath my breast.
Ever the good girl, never showing faults.
Unhappy time spent, fading into walls.
Womanhood goes not gently, nor with any haste.
Leaving her invisible mark not to be erased.
Maturity is hard won, ne'er without a fight.
But by its graces all who know glow with a heavenly light.
Although it's nice to reminisce, life moves onward still.
Bringing e'er more insight to those who mind its will.
We've but to live and live some more, fighting 'gainst the tide.
Struggling with the undertow, never to subside.
Chin up, my friend. Do not despair.
Draw strength from thine own mind.
For though God has a wicked smile.
His kiss is still divine.
Sincerely,
divinia
