The Stonehedge-type picture was GORGEOUS! The last one made me think of Lemuria for some reason. But I had a distrust of unicorns even before reading Gooberz.IP: Logged |

Well, it started with something awfully silly. When I was 12 I saw a very large, very expensive, 4 foot stuffed unicorn in a store. Falling into the "I'm a girl so my room must be pink and full of rainbows and stuffed animals" way of thinking I BEGGED for the damn thing. Being a willful, manipulative little scorp, I got it. Placed it on the floor at the foot of the bed. Oh the nightmares! I would wake up in the middle of the night just knowing it was evil. And how surprised I was by this - unicorns are supposed to be cute and innocent and magical, right? My gut told me otherwise. This went on for a few months until I could barely walk into my room. I knew I had to slay the wretched beast. Of course, I was terribly ashamed to admit this, not to mention afraid of the wrath I would face at "wasting" all of that money. But I worked up the nerve to explain to mom that the monster had to be removed. My reason - "it's evil" - was met with more then a few odd looks. Several years after that I came across "The Hunt for the Unicorn", a medieval tapestry. Something told me the allegorical story told in the tapestry was being grossly misrepresented and woefully mistranslated. Especially the last panel. So I did a little research. But that's another story. IP: Logged |

You'll read about night mares soon in Gooberz, SC. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

Yes, SunChild, when you get to the unicorn part in Gooberz tell us what you think. I was so happy to have my weirdo suspicions about the night mare affirmed and expanded by Linda. IP: Logged |

I love the blue ones -- very mesmerizing -- and the colorful ones are quite psychedelic. Thank you for posting them! ------------------ Sincerely, divinia What wisdom can you find that is greater than kindness? -- Jean-Jacques Rousseau IP: Logged |

I still like unicorns a little, though. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

Oh Randall! You should know better than that. It is a pretty little myth though, isn't it? I'm training myself to susbstitute Pegesus for the unicorn. IP: Logged |
