In this, the infancy of our coming together With hands that clasp and grab still dominated by the whims of our wishes In this, our moment of greatest confusion Is it any huge leap of faith to look to the horizon For the changes that await this simple race? Is it too much to expect a miraculous tranformation to bring mankind into the arms of its destiny? There are, even today, indicators of unity's prominent place in our human essence Society itself serves as an outlet for a common yearning Children trying to emulate that which they know to be, but do not understand Our "unity" comes as a surreal face of the Divine Cobbled together through the filter of human motivation Childlike motives Children playing house care little about the reality of the roles they play Mommy has power and freedom, Daddy does too Because they RULE This is not Truth, but a distortion of it through the yearnings of children who feel overwhelmed and powerless So also is our society a mockup of what our spirits know to be real and True So is our desire for unity distorted by illusory power Twisted by greed Ruled by ego's desire to have things be this way, or that Know this dear ones: Our Maker will have the final say With or without "you", destiny comes We shall be one No act of will No desire for peace Not even the sound of 400 million pairs of feet Marching purposefully down Main Street Will bring about its fruition For those purposeful steps and peaceful desires Are as antithetical to the Truth of Union As any other act of human will Still, the Spirit knows and will one day rejoice With or without "you." daf IP: Logged |
