In the morning
I wake up
The first thing that comes into mind
Is you
At night
Before I fall asleep
You
Will always linger in my head
But I dare not call your name
For I would shatter at the very moment I did it
Everyday
I'm getting closer and closer to you
But everyday
You seem to be drifting further away
Does this sound contradictory?
(I know it does)
No one will ever understand
We are meant to part some day
But I'm not ready to let you go
But you will have to let go
You will have to let go...
And I wonder
Was it me who
Made this side of you
Show
I can't ask you to promise me
To never change
I'm making a wish
Which is
'Do maintain your innocence'
If only it could come true
But as somebody said
'Only Heaven knows'
If only I had the guts to say it to you
Those powerful words
But my lips forbid me to do so...
I don't want you to hold my hand
I don't want your arms around me
I don't want your kisses
I don't want your sweet caress
I just want you to stay
To stay here
To stay where you are
So I won't stumble
(But one day...)
You make everything meaningful
And you have no idea
All these words simply cannot express
How I feel...
I'm shouting it out loud
From the bottom of my heart
Do you hear me?

(This is not a poem, just a combination of words about something personal)

Thank you heaps, Randall , aqua, pixelpixie and Sheaa Olein! I was away for a while and will probably write less, but at least I will still write!

I had to rush my reply before, but I love this bit because it relates to the title of the poem - well for me it does. It's how I've tormented myself with questions about a love before.

Knowflake poetry is cool for self-healing sometimes. Makes you feel like you're all sharing what you interpret, and therefore a little more stored up pain is released to be viewed and cleaned up

I'm pleased to see that someone out there does relate to this. I agree with you, Sheaa- this is a good place for us knowflakes to share our feelings and to appreciate one another's works. AND I did feel better after posting this...although the uncertainty is still right here, deep inside...
