'Any one who fails to obey A high price he shall pay One with delayed submission His people shall face extermination'This was perchance the king's intention A plan was carried out by the Lord Advocate's sick passion Off the troops went to Glen Coe Where the valley was covered with snow Where the soldiers enjoyed such hospitality But they were to repay their hosts shamelessly Men, women and even children Many of whom didn't realise their fate as their beds went crimson The children never saw the sunrise As they met their untimely demise Among the dead were even two of the captain's family members To this day, the valley remembers Hundreds fled into the bitter cold Many perished, while others had their tale told Today, it looks serene, but a clan was torn And the survivors' children gather here in remembrance of that bloody morn IP: Logged |

No TINK, I'm actually not the victims' offspring, but I've visited the site where the massacre took place...pixelpixie, this happened in the Scottish Highlands. (In original spelling) "...that these miscreants be cutt off root and branch..." These were the Lord Advocate, John Dalrymple's exact words. Captain Robert Campbell, along with his two companies, also murdered his own niece, who married one of the McIans, her husband was killed as well. IP: Logged |

Amazing - you can almost hear the iced wind wipping round long hair & red cold faces.To this day the valley remembers And it does.. you can feel the residual energy in places - especially battlefields. Bluebell Hill in Kent is particularly strong in energy. You've captured the essence heartbreakingly well, Eternal Blue

Here are some pictures of Scotland my father took this year - they came out huge after hosting, but hey it captures the moors perfectly (Randall, if there are problems with space I will remove them after a while);

Hey thanks Sheaa- for the praise and the beautiful photos! That day was a dark one, the late spring breeze still couldn't take the sadness in the air away as people contemplated the place...we all had our heads down...I'm going to search for info on Bluebell Hill and see what I can find out. And I will definitely return to bonnie Scotland IP: Logged |

So I take it you're Scottish EB? Cool.In regards to Bluebell Hill - it's been notorious for ghost sightings and paranormal activity always. There are records of what can only be described a battle - masses of bloodshed and graves on the hill area. I watched a program where a team of investigators went there once and psychically pulled up traces of the energy there - however I can't seem to find that on a brief search. I had to travel through the area almost daily (by car) about 10 - 15 years back, and even stopping at the services was eerie. However, here's a cool 360 view; http://www.bbc.co.uk/kent/places/pans/bluebell_hill/index.shtml

Well...just consider me a fellow earthling Thanks for the link, Sheaa Olein. I've just watched the BBC 360 view and the place seems to have some kind of...chill. This may sounds strange, but I am very into arcane stuff and I find Bluebell Hill's stories quite intriguing. Hopefully I will have the opportunity to go there one day- I don't mean to say such thing to be disturbing. IP: Logged |
