Tried to draw a picture of your face
And I'm afraid
It's not much more than a circle
With a couple of dots near the top
Haven't drawn the line at the bottom yet
Much to my regret
I couldn't tell you how you feel
Should I shape it like a "U"?
Or perhaps a lower case "n"?
Couldn't say my friend
So let's pretend that instead
I've got the power of God
To draw anything I'd wish for you
Here's what I would do
I'd draw a line that says you love your life
That everyone you know is nice
That anything you've ever wanted to
Is everything that you could do
I'd draw a line that says you've got a friend
And that your happiness will never end
That the dreams you thought unreal
Will all come true
That is what I'd wish for you
So now I'll draw it too
Put it in an envelope or two
Until the day comes that you draw yourself a picture
