I don't doubt my professor who has much more experience in the matter than i do, she said a haiku must have some aspect of nature in it to be a real haiku. I'm sure she is right but i want to hear someone else say the same thing.

I'll still post a recent haiku that isn't a haiku though(in spanish):

A mi me gusta
La clase de español
Con Araceli

Traditionally, Haiku is supposed to capture the essence of nature. But contemporary Haiku allows more freedom, including different forms outside the 5-7-5 structure.

I know some Spanish, but couldn't translate your Haiku. Spanish is fun! And an interesting choice for a Japanese poem...

You have the general idea, but it doesn't sound that great translated into english your way. I would put it like this:

I like
Spanish Class
With Araceli

Let's see if i can translate my original into an english haiku

To me the class of
spanish with Araceli
is (very) pleasing

It doesn't sound as good in english...

Better stick to the Espanol then!

I loved my Spanish classes too - sigh, the good old days. It was like being back in Kindergarten - the colorful decorations, the super-simple books, learning names of colors...

LOL, Johnny! Maybe that's why I loved Spanish so much in high school! When we were bad (forgot homework, got caught talking to friends) we had to stand in the corner wearing a giant sombrero! My teacher was a crazy aquarius. He was known for listening to Cyndi Lauper on his headphones while he mowed his lawn. I loved that guy!
