You tried me on like a coat of paint,
not realizing perhaps that this shade isn't so easily removed.
I stuck on you.
(wasn't that your plan all along, my marrying man)
My Moon mate brother, my soulful lover
We paint each other.
Your Venus caresses my hair and wishes I were there
My Venus smiles and flirts, not always seeing the hurts.
But still it works
So this little playful ode,
this shining, is owed
to you
making pretty babies together
isn't all we can do
not to prove.. not to be rude, but once is enough to fulfill
One perfect girl has fit this bill.
I want to travel and dream some more
I want to be old and not sore
I want to see this is heaven sent,
I want not to resent
this wander lust, this faery dust
this fear I have that my heart will rust
If I don't flex it for all
I need to see you, to truly see
this thing we had (seven years ago started!!)
Is what was intended for me
You moniter it frequently
check its pulse with strong hands on tired feet
making me silly with ego treats
An Aries made selfless by love
Wow.
I take advantage I am sad to say.
although I say it every day,
(by the way) I love you
does that make it okay?
I appreciate the care and feeding of a princess
I take off the tiara and jump in the mud,
with a glorious sweeping humble
thank you
to you

pixie ~ has your Aries read this? It's tangible, delicate and honest.

I believe it's quite possible for people to fall deeper in love. I would. I mean I have done when I've read words for me.

quote:
I appreciate the care and feeding of a princess
I take off the tiara and jump in the mud,
with a glorious sweeping humble

*nodding*

Errm.. *thinking* Bagsy! I want pixie for my partner in the next life!...

Silly, I know, but I wrote it and posted it as is my habit. But I didn't share it with him. I grabbed him tonight and said "I have been told I have to share this with you." and lead him to the computer to show him.
He loved it. And other than years ago when he showed me his devotion to me by listening to me share my (outdated) poetry with him, and perhaps the occassional excerpt I share, I don't let him in my world that way. He doesn't write. He is sensitive, but it comes out in different ways.
Thanks for making me show him. It was for him, after all.
My private little world encompasses so much more, and I am selective with my vulnerabilities. He sees me at my best and worst. I guess I am selfish with Lindaland.
And thank you all for encouraging me to write and share. You make me feel so good.

I read this when I was on the computer quickly this morning, and I'm so glad you showed it to your husband. It's so warm, sweet and romantic ~ definitely my favourite from you too.

I know that Im abit late reading this because I have only just recently joined the LL familia, but can I just say, I have been reading alot of your poetry and you are truly talented.

This is definetely my favourite so far. i love the way you express yourself. You define the term "poetic".

"(wasn't that your plan all along, my marrying man)
My Moon mate brother, my soulful lover
We paint each other." (Beautiful)
