There are some poems that you commit to memory. There are some poems you keep coming back to. On LL, I find myself running back for another look at daf's A Smile to Sustain Me and pixie's A Rainbow Exposed and Saturn Child's (where did she go?) Journey Through Camelot Lost. I'll be coming back to this one too.IP: Logged |

Yes, sun child was quite remarkable, especially for one so young. I liked her. But there was a Saturn's Child here a while back. She didn't stay long though. She's on page 5. IP: Logged |

!! Wow guys. Really. Thanks so much, you've made my night. I havent written anything in forever and I got a line in my head the other night that wouldnt let go. So I got out of bed and this came out. I NEVER share my poetry with ANYONE. Most of it is actually gone - thrown away, where no one can find it. (damn my critical Virgo moon)e e cummings? Honestly, I wasnt familiar with his work (yes, I live under a rock. lol). I thought he was a visual artist - which I just found out that he is that too. Well, I just looked him up and holy crap! His writing style IS just like mine! I cant wait to explore his work more! Very, very cool. Geez, what a compliment! Thanks whiterabbit! Thank you Ghani. TINK , That really means alot, thank you. I had butterflies as I posted the poem. I'm very private I guess. Your kind words went right to my heart. IP: Logged |

Okay. e e is my soul mate. lol He was born in Massachusetts. So was I. He lived in NH. So did I. He did time in prison. ....ehhh....I've been arrested twice.(nothing serious ) And I always love a rebel. "The left-wing critics of the 1930s were only the first to dismiss his work as sentimental and politically naïve. His supporters, however, find value not only in its verbal and visual inventiveness but also in its mystical and anarchistic beliefs." OMG. I'm in love. lol Kewl.

Oh wow. I really, really liked those, especially the first one: quote: a total stranger one black day knocked living the hell out of me-- who found forgiveness hard because my(as it happened)self he was -but now that fiend and i are such immortal friends the other's each
I these too: ~i am so glad and very ~if strangers meet ~o sweet spontaneous I still cant believe the similarities in some of his poems to mine above. He writes alot about earth, flowers, mud, spring.....there was one about serpents. I've never been one to really 'get into' poetry, but I now adore this guy. So glad you guys awakened me to him. quote: "since feeling is first who pays any attention to the syntax of things will never wholly kiss you;"
He described himself as someone "whose only happiness is to transcend himself, whose every agony is to grow." Very cool. Definitely Tink. I'll let you know what I dig up! You let me know too! IP: Logged |

26, I'm so glad you found a poet alter ego (dare I use that word?) I think we should all have one. Poets have a way of putting into words those unspeakable, formless things that lie in our hearts. I felt that way when I met Anne Sexton.IP: Logged |

WOWOW! That's right up my alley!I knew you would write like that 26T. Why was it so familiar? quote: mud full of face & earth I AM.... ...wearing it strong I spring 4th ~& again~ it's 8 INFINITY ALL THAT I AM numbers and letters written in spring..... in spring.. -ing 4th a head full of flowers & sprinkled seedlings, & knotted vines, twisting, turning, a S-erpent beginning it's upward spinning ..*,+`~.*~..
Brilliant indeed! I love to write that way, and I keep it all hidden, thank-you for making me feel like I should be able to share whatever comes out of me...really, your an inspiration 26T! IP: Logged |

Thanks so much neo! And yes, do share!!! Thanks guys, I'll never tracsend my ego now. LOL! TINK, I checked out Anne Sexton. Another brilliant poet. Makes me think about everything I'm missing out there. I really relate to her writing, such depth! Alot of darkness there too. In particular I liked, "Wallflower", "Again and Again and Again", "Wanting to Die". I read a little bio on her life, so sad. IP: Logged |
