Why do you laugh when I smile at my accomplishments? I have succeeded just to prove to you that I can.
What is it about me that knocks you so hard?
Is it my freedom? My ability to see what you don't? My love for a world that barely knows I exist?
So what if I get googley eyed at a hot guy on the t.v. screen? You aren't my keeper.
What do you care if I sing every chance I get? Music is my way of saying I am feeling.
Why do you get angry when I get excited about something? I am allowed to be me.
What is about me that you just can't stand? Why do you throw me down every chance you get?
I know you don't really hate me, I see it in your eyes. I see it when I catch you watching me dance. I see it when you try to hide the smile that appears when I am happy.
Are you really that afraid to love me?

This was inspired by a guy I used to know. He was just horrible to me. Laughed at everything I did and everything I loved. I thought he was just weird only to find out that he had a thing for me and was trying to hide it. HMM>...funny how that works.
