It was too much to listen to
Though it was only me
talking
and even then it was small....
but convincing
how do you convince yourself
that large things
are really not big
when you only know the things you hear
and the only one you hear is you
immense and intense
I am fenced with doubt
an offence of the senses
I am so without
pride and shame are fused
and furious
I can't curl my mind around this
serious lack
of ethics
for how do you embody talents
when they rarely seek light and breath
and specifics
I sing out my hunger
and maybe you can hear it in my voice
consuming the notes clear and dire
I conspire
to hear a little more of anothers choice
and make them mine to see
.........It's not always about me
but if you say it
I won't hear you
Be more specific
and scientific
when we explore this mind-trick
I won't hear you unless you step on me
sadly
I will hate you and love you at once
but it takes the ownness away
from the place it has been shouldered
until you came and said it
I know what is best for me
but I'll be damned if you can make me see
I cringe and crumble
this bad place rumbles
and I am shrouded by comfort
like a blanket of dark
to rest in and wait
in the cold of my heart
