that man is but a cover
for the wonder you are
when the wanton bares you clean
bearing the dream
of all the ones who came before
on and in your belly
you are the Universe
without you

God would know
no duplicity
and half of night would indeed be
lost to the twinking stars
Oh Woman
you are the seed shelter
and nurturer
growing the world through her
bringing the man right to her
hips full swaying
praying
like the mantis
wet and reverent
on the man's lips
