Selfish wishes
are my secret happiness
that I curl up in when
the details want to blur
for comfort.
And I dream with a serenity
that I know little of, awake.
As my dreams seem to have a home in your wishes.
This isn't really real
but it feels like the kind of real
I would manifest
If I grow beyond unhappiness
a little bit more
and carve out my open door
with a window even....
No shades to hide
things like shallow pride.

You do.
You hold my hand inside
It's not something I can put back
because it belongs somehow
and all it takes is a crack
in the panelling
I would risk a few wishes
in my world it means most everything
and my world's seen redefining
this is my selfish wish
that somehow this could translate
to something for comfort
beyond my mind
without leaving behind
too many ties

Pixie- do you right everyday? have you ever thought bout putting out a book or doing your own website with your artwork and poetry? You should.

I appreciate all those things you said!

Bluemoon.. i hope you find those selfish wishes. You need them more than I.

I write when I am inspired.. after a thought or a great conversation, thngs just fly out.
Sometimes in the shower, I have to rush, so the words in my head have a chance to be expressed.
I enjoy writing, it is theraputic for me.
I wonder if I should look into publishing.. I dunno....
But thank you!
