All sewn up
I must learn to sew
so
clean lines are what you see,
not these blanket stitches with twine
ratty and crooked and weaving all over
the seams
Was I tying together two parts
or darning an existing one
I don't know
but the needlework's shown
patterns repeating on and on
jagged pins piercing my calloused thumb
after a while, it all just goes numb
Situational delusion
well what would you do?
I should get myself that sewing glue
put the two together and voila it's new
iron it on if you can stand the heat
and you'll have a design that can't be beat!
I could be an infomercial on 'roids
going on like a stoic android
about the threads I see in things
weaving silken wedding rings
underneath the angel wings
we are in life, the love we bring.
But I must learn to sew clean lines
especially the ones I keep inside.
