Thanks guys.... Since writing this, our son has awoken almost every night and then finds it hard to get back to sleep....... A healer woman said to me recently that I must always take him back to his own bed.....yeah right.....the child is shaking and wide eyed....I give over my own energy to comfort him. I am his mum, his comforter....isnt part of parenting to sacrifice....I do.....my energy. I feel exhausted and slightly depressed.....lack of sleep can leave one like this......but I just keep thinking Motherhood with a capital "M"........... I wonder why they say that you should take them back to their own bed- I have heard that before.
As a child I also had trouble in the night and I would often end up between my parents, where they let me stay. I wouldn't have slept otherwise.. And look.. I turned out just fine! (sorta) IP: Logged |
