There are parts
put away
unjoined but connected
to the whole
in a way that makes them more
special in their role
like fingers you flex outside yourself
you feel them move but don't control
the movement
it is separate
but intertwined
and sacred as what's inside
a part
apart

I read this a few days ago and posted, but my computer was being a jerkface and I forgot to come back and post.

I guess you didn't need that!

I just wanted to say that I liked your poem, and again, it's the rhythm that is uniquely your own. Identifiable and enjoyable as always.

"There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Lewis Carroll
