It starts off so slow
barely there, so quiet
Look deeper into the dark
and see the shapes form
Breathe
Feel the wind brush back hair
pulling here and there
The stars start twinkling
filling the sky with fairies
Hear that whisper of feet
turn to see
Its just the trees
but behind them, farther out
Just there
Right there
He is here, watching
Twirl into the night
feel how the wind swims around
Barefeet,wet grass
it should be cold
The rustle of leaves
the darkness gets darker
The moon is hiding tonight
Peace fills every inch
I feel his eyes full of love
But is it real?
Dance in the dark
swirl, twirl, roll with the wind
Blonde curls hide my blue eyes
and I'm full of sighs
So peaceful, almost perfect
but so dark
No way to see whats ahead
or where the darkness leads
He still watches, so quietly
Blood rushes around inside
like the wind on the outside
I hear water, crashing, racing
Running, feet beating a blind path
Those eyes, they never waver
Heart pounding out a rhythm
The wind wraps around me
holding me so close, like my lovers arms
Its been so long
to feel them now, its a shock
I see him now, more than feel him
Right there, hidden but I see him
Mouthing out words
too obscured to understand
Its so dark
but so warm, so beautifully warm
No matter where I turn,
I'm held, no matter where or what
The wind is howling, screaming now
the water is pounding
The stars go out one by one
and the moon is still dark
Music, there is music here
so sad, hauntingly familiar
I've heard this song before
His eyes won't let me go
but there is no panic
Only peace
then a glow starts to build
A straight line of muted light
leading me down a winding path
Straight to where he hides
waiting to be noticed, he watches
Blue eyes meet blue,
Two blonde heads glowing
the wind calms suddenly
The water stops slapping
And his hand reaches out
touching delicately
I feel his finger tips slide
aching to hold on
Fingers touching fingers
melding and holding tight
The moon returns
as do the stars
I still feel peace
amidst the confusion
There was only peace
while he watched me
While his arms of wind held me
I know only peace with him
In life as in my dreams
while the world around went wild
its all I've ever known with him
But this....
