Once Were Warrior's(scared little children)

I remember lying in the room
Listening to uncle and aunty
Singing a lovely waiata(song)
over the smoky beer drenched party's.

Then the calm before the storm
The evil storm,the unforgiving storm
The storm all the way from hell
And the door handle slowly turns.

kiaora(to your well being)pixelpixie,
this one is based on the new zealand movie
once were warrior's,
the calm is when everyone start's leaving the party, the storm is the fighting where she get's beaten up,and the door handle turning is where the girl is molested by her uncle, i saw it ,felt it, hated it from age 4.

and there's an angel
with his hand on my head (carlos)
saying you have nothing to fear(santana)

I watched that movie, I remember it moving me, but it was so long ago ( mid-nineties) that I can't recall its content, other than the markings on their skin, and that it was about a family.
I tried to remember when I saw the poem's title.
The way you set it up was powerful!

Kiaora to you as well.
