Loving you is stepping on the gas when the driving
instructor is asking me to brake so naturally I crash
rear-end a parked ancient truck
reckless abandon, unwitting myrmidon.
Loving you is letting brash-fingered moonlight caress my
evening skin sprouting with Gregorian chants sung by a
saintly choir of fallen angels.
Reworked oxymoron from a higher echelon.
Loving you is sweeping fallacies under the rug, those that
cannot stand the sunlight of scrutiny that suspends dust
most of certainty among its piercing shafts.
Relentless polygon, prismatic dimension.
Loving you is tearing off atherosclerotic plaques from my
heart damaged by smoking, cholesterol, and despair,
rebirthing cardiac cells into love cells of green aventurine
rose quartz and obsidian.
Heart of an amazon, ethereal dominion.
Off-balance and weary, stone-cold and proud, I know how it
would feel to love you but I have yet to find you out. So
where are you, lover, peerless paragon, poet of distinction?
