There is just something about those
moments in time when everything
stands completely still.
The wind stops blowing,
the birds stop singing...
everything just stops for a second.
I hold those moments close
praying for a few more minutes
like these, when nothing matters
not even the breeze.
With all the hectic seconds
and all the loud thoughts
a moment in time when nothing
moves...a siesta that lasts
for a single moment.
It's that moment to breathe
that makes me believe
in things that I can't see.
It's those moments in time
where I smile for no reason
and remember all the good things
even when all the bad takes over
as its so apt to do lately.
In the brisk cold
where the air bites your nose,
I especially love those seconds
when I look up to find someone
enjoying the moment with me.
Just stop mid-step,
and hold everything.
Nothing beats it.
Those single moments in time
where I don't have to remember
anything but the smiles
and how warm my heart can be.
They are my gift...
I wouldn't trade them for anything.
A moment in time where I am me,
and I matter....cos I stopped too
just like everything else.

"There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Lewis Carroll
