Each contour, each curve in this path
brings me to another picture
another dream of your face.
It all reminds me of that crooked grin,
of that seamless smile.
A dip in the road, a bump in the way,
it's a face I see smile at me every day.
The wind blowing by,
it's your voice that went away and came back.
No longer just a memory.
This road I'm on now
it reminds me of your face,
this is me tracing you,
this road is the same path my fingers
have taken a thousand times on your cheeks,
your nose, your mouth
it's all the same.------------------
