I don't think you see me
I whisper in the dark
Drawing circles in the air
With the flame that made its markMasked by shadow,your face,
Remains untouched, untold
As truth lies
In wait til dawn
When its story will unfold Morning sheds her harsh light
On love's promises and lies
Tentative touch of cold hands
Beneath a blanket of regret
Passion sighs Words are your protection
My bane, my saving grace
Somewhere you have them written
Sinuous strokes on ardent page Yet, your words are hard to capture
So effusively they soar
Luminous and lingering
Like dust dispelled
In light
Through the open door
