Akash,
Thank you.
I hope this finds some gorgeous nymph tasting the sweetness of your being.

You are one of a kind.
Love to you,

How I wish!

I'm not in a relationship at present, I guess that's why I write these poems, they remind me that there is a love out there...
I sometimes wonder (especially as of late) if I will find the right girl. Guess I'm starting to miss things I probably underestimated.

Sort of feel like I'm trying to catch the wind with my fists. Well I guess until she comes along, I'll be making love to this moment and trying to catch her name everytime my heart skips a beat.

Rumi says 'My longing is your reciprocation'

I tell you Steve, if that is true then she must be all over me!

Akash,

I think you must have the right idea. Besides reminding you of the love that is out there, the act of writing these poems is like a baited line cast into the teeming waters of your subconscious mind. The more you dream, the more you attune yourself to the vibratory signature of love, and that, more than anything, is sure to draw to you the love you seek.

You have all the markings of a truly blessed soul, Akash. I think it must pain the gods not to bestow all their gifts upon you at once. If the universe seems to withhold anything from you, it is only the orchestration of some greater purpose at work. Remember, that there is no love which is not the slaking of a thirst for love. And blessed are those who hunger and athirst, for they shall be filled!

You are too young to wonder if you will find "her". Quit that foolishness, and start believing. Your faith will be as an invisible beacon, to guide her pilgrim lips to the shores of your leonine loins. (he-he)

We all take things for granted, we all underestimate... Only the enlightened ones are eternally liberated from this. No doubt, you learned something of inestimable value. Believe me, when I tell you, the woman who shall ultimately benefit from this new wisdom of yours, will be the envy of the women who only hastened your awakening by their impatient departures.

I was reading Emerson's essay "The Poet", and there was something in there about taking things for granted...

Emerson quotes the great epic poet,
and author of Paradise Lost, John Milton:

"[A lyric poet may drink wine and live indulgently,
but an epic poet must drink water from a wooden bowl.]"

Akash...

Without a lover's body to embrace and be embraced by,
We learn to embrace and be embraced by every stranger's smile.

Smiling to You,
Steve

My God Steve, I wish I had the words to let you know how much this response means to me.

Everything you say and write is like an arrow that never fails to hit the target of my heart, not only does it find the centre but it shatters my illusions allowing for a clarity that overwhelms this heart with joy.

You wrote: "You are too young to wonder if you will find "her". Quit that foolishness, and start believing."

Thank you. That was the dharma slap I've been waiting for and upon reading your words I felt my spirit rejoice with the knowing that the angels sing for me... through your voice...my friend.. Steve.

Embracing your smile,
Akash.

Oh, dear!!

With reference to the very first post - sounds like one majorly p*ssed off Scorp. Sorry to hear you feel that way, HSC.

Might I be incredibly cheeky, and make just one spelling correction? I.e.: "receptacle" as in "spectacle", rather than as in "skeptical" and certainly not as in "tickle".

Right, I'll bugger off now, and quit being annoying.

(NB - I'm trying to cheer you up here!!)
