Light a bonfire to the sun,
Stoke it right for all to see,
The gathering has just begun,
They gather round so easily
Wide awake, yet unaware,
They conquer sorrow, feed a dream,
The beacons beckon to the sky,
So high, yeah...
In a trance, their memories all fade away
Keeps them dancing all through the night
And praying to the day
Unaware of heaven or hell,or right, or wrong,
They don' know whether they'll be here tomorrowLight a fire to the idol,
Idolatry breeds a fear,
Watch the mighty fall,
And see their pride disappear
Converted to the common cause,
United, loyal to a fault,
Their chanting echoes to the sky,
So high, yeah...
Wide awake and running free, naked in the sun
Freedom could prove to be as dear as it comes
In a trance, their memories all fade away
Keeps them dancing all through the night
and praying to the day
