It's all in perspective
nothing universal about it
all relative all true
Facing what's real
denying reality
yet holding on tightly
as not to loose grip
The end of the world
and you won't see me cry
Luck is what it is
when fate has faith in you
I forget where I heard that
but it's true
Keep everything you've shared
and you'll find you
The words of the wise
and not so wise
replay themselves in my head
over and over
and one more time for good measure
Blame it on your mother
blame it on your dad
were you hugged enough
or maybe too much
that you feel the need to throw
your emotions out there
for the world to see?
I've heard it all
it gets a funnier as time goes by
how so many "well meaning" people
find ways to make me feel
less than human
Less than me
Infinite possibilities
it's all a mathematical equation
what are the chances?
4 out of 10 will say slim to none
while the other six will say
they have no clue
or they'll sit there and feed off
of making me squirm
Are we all connected
all related?
If so why isn't it easier?
Destiny, fate, faith, hope and love
and the strongest of these is love
The only universal truth according to some
If that's the truth
why is it also universally dangerous?
I could read Jung
and maybe Marx would know
but then again maybe they are all full of it
No way to know for sure I suppose
It is what it is

I love it, leo_on_fire! Sounds like you're experiencing some mental overload/confusion -- not to mention the anguish it brings. I know all too well just how you feel. And I'll bet I'm not the only one...

thank you for this poem

i think we share a similarity of thinking

or a similar perspective

i do feel connected, related to you

i feel grateful for signs like these

i dont want to say something trite

but i wish you love

honestly

"There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Lewis Carroll
